I purchased two of these hoses and both leaked around the underside of the connector. I returned them and exchanged for two more. These also leaked underneath the connector. These are not American made, they are assembled in USA and the parts are from overseas.

I am one for one buying once again. My first purchase of this 75' hose from Sam's Club was last year and the hose is great, it is lightweight and dependable and stores easily in a flower pot outside the garage door. However, my second purchase of this hose earlier this year was returned unused. I opened the box and as I was straightening the hose for use ran my hand over two wires which were sticking through the hose. I returned that hose to Sams Club with no problems but Sams did not have any more in stock. Hence, I still like the one I got last year so I am ordering this one and hopefully it doesn't have any wires sticking through it.

I have am avid gardener and a solid hose is a critical tool. I have purchased quite a few over the years and while Apex could and should improve the couplings on these, I still love them! They are super light weight, never kink, and are easy to drag across, over, under and around trees, pots, raised beds, trees, stumps, etc. I also appreciate that they dry quickly. For anyone interested in buying these but are concerned about the couplings, I recommended investing in quick connects. I bought my first flexH20 at least 3 years ago and it is still performing like new. Were it not for the couplings, I would give this hose a 5 star rating.

I bought this hose 2 weeks ago and it began leaking around the barb connected to the female end, today the whole barb blew off the male end making it useless. In order to fix it you have to buy a 1/2 barb in order to fit the inner tube then make sure it converts to 3/4 male or female connections. I spent as much as the hose cost new just to fix it. Shame on Sam’s for carrying a piece of junk. They should be removed from the shelves as defective

Owned this hose for less than 2 years with only about 1 year of steady use. Began leaking after a few months then recently the entire tail end comes apart while screwing on a nozzle. Figured the 5 year warranty meant something but when I contacted the manufacturer and never heard anything.

Bought this lightweight hose, hose end fitting leaked starting the 2nd week. I attempted to fix it by replacing the 1/2 inch hose end fitting. Plastic wouldn't work, brass wouldn't work, nothing would clamp down tight enough to stop any water from escaping. Just paid $40 for a non-usable hose

The first time, and each subsequent time, I have used this hose, it has leaked from the couplings at both ends. The video (which I cannot figure out how to attach to this review) is of the male end where I have it attached to a plastic cutoff valve to which I have my sprayer nozzle attached. As you can see, it is leaking where the hose crimp sleeve attaches to the hose coupling. It is also leaking between the metal sleeve and the hose itself. Additionally, it leaks where the threaded male end screws into the plastic cutoff valve, even though I have used silicone plumbing tape to try to seal the threads. I will try to secure (using a waterproof glue) the threaded male end into the plastic cutoff valve so that it does not leak there. I will also coat the metal sleeve of the coupling and the hose itself with a silicon adhesive, Flex Seal, or something like that and push the black rubber/plastic sleeve over the coated area to try to seal that area from leaking. I do this instead of returning the hose only because, other than the leaking, the hose is lightweight and easy to coil and store. I will follow up this review with the results of those attempts. Another thing, the packaging, and hose itself, are a bit deceptive. Someone looking at the hose through the little slit and box--with statements like "easy to wind up and store" and "lightweight performance hose" and such--and might think it is an expandable garden hose "which does do all of the work of a traditional hose, but shrinks down into lightweight, portable tubes for easy storage." Only on the back of the box--where it lists all the "positive attributes" of the hose--does it say, "Does not retract or expand." Additionally, where the "positive attributes" are listed, it says "Ergonomic... couplings" which is not true; the hex portion of the male end coupling is very narrow and I had to use pliers to hold it in order to tighten it as much as I could, despite which, it still leaked (see above). Finally, on the bottom of the box--where most people would not look--in very small print there are two noteworthy instructions: First "NOTE: Before using your hose, place the washer firmly inside the coupling. This will prevent leaking." and Second, a paragraph-long dissertation addressing previously critiqued aluminum / brass fusing problem.

Bought this to substitute my heavy duty garden hose because of its too heavy to move it around but this one started leaking from day 1 at the fittings and became completely unusable after 4 months. Too bad Samsclub is still carrying this piece of junk.

Hose burst on first use. Product details claims a bursting strength of 600 psi. My hose burst when I closed my spray nozzle while washing my automobile. I was using the hose attached to my homes garden hose spigot. Household water pressure is approximately 35 psi. I am very disappointed.

Loved this hose, told everyone about it...until after 6 weeks use, probably 2-3 times a week, the hose disconnected from the metal piece. As always, Sam's great customer service had no problem issuing a refund. Maybe it was a one time thing, just beware.
