If you've read the literature you know that this product has been proven to be effective. If you haven't, it's out there and readily available - I recommend going through it to bust any doubts. This applies to all products originating from the original Listerine. Aside from effectiveness, which all the products have, the original is somewhat unique. It maintains the same burn and signature taste which in your mouth, but unline the other Listerines floating around (Cool Mint, for example# once the rinse is done your mouth isn't overwhelmed by the taste of lingering mint. It's truly nice. This product keeps your mouth at neutral rather pushing it to mint. With that being said, with the original there may be some lingering burning in your mouth for about 5 minutes after use. I personally enjoy it, but you may not. Overall great product. Does what it advertises, gives me a great burn and rough taste #which I love) and keeps my breath good enough to work in retail and after 5 hours of work be able to speak to a person face-to-face without fear of funky looks.

This product has given my mouth a 360 degree turn around.. I can't express enough how it makes my mouth feel after brushing and flossin.. My dentist says he can't understand how my gums stay looking so bright.. I have all my kids and my wife using no other mouth products but this one.. Thanks antiseptic mouthwash..

Every Listerine product I have ever used has always been great. I saw this amber-colored original antiseptic on the store shelf and thought I'd give it a shot. It is hands down the most terrible taste I have ever experienced. Maybe it's just me but I think it's comparable to stomach acid. It caused me to gag and cough so it went all over my sink... Stick to wintergreen and mint.

In the early 1980,s we move to Galesburg Ks.qnd I went to work for Bushog. I met the maintenance man and we talked a lot about work the plant and how thing were going. He is the one that got me interested in Listerine. back then there was only one kind of Listerine the original which I have use ever sense. A few years later you come out with the blue one I ask my dentist about it and he said that it was like they put something in it that made it not as good as it was originally, So that was good enough for me and I don't use anything else. I'm not perfect so I have accidentally picked up a different kind whence. I enjoy using the one with alcohol it makes my mouth feel better. a

I have been having problems with bad breath for some years off and on for a while. I had been trying everything, even got antibiotic mouthwash from a dental office. That did not help. I thought about that yellow listerine. I used to see the older generation with it and I said I’m going to try it. People, it was the best advice I’ve offered myself in months. It worked magic for me. I had a fresh breath all day. I wasn’t shame to hold a conversation. I will use this from now on. Thanks original antiseptic Listerine!!!!

I tried this one but didn't see the no alcohol which means no burn which was weird for me at first. I thought no pain no gain but my mouth still felt clean after using. I really like that about this mouthwash. It was painful with the one i was using previously. Now I am not staring at my watch slowly watching the clock tick while my mouth is in pain. I definitely recommend this product! It doesn't have to hurt to get a clean mouth all.

Due to other health issues, I had slacked off on my dental program over a two year period. Brushing once a day at night. Inevitably this led to bleeding gums and the signature puffy red telltale of gingivitis. I immediately started flossing again. While helpful, it wasn’t enough. A bloody mess, let’s leave it at that. I even started noticing that my gums were receding. Then I remembered Listerine. I never thought it was that intense or painful; when my mouth was healthy. So I bought Cool Mint Listerine and added it to my program. Brush, floss and rinse with Listerine twice a day. For the first week it was excruciating. It took everything I had to keep swishing for 30 seconds to a minute. But I held in and got through it. By the second week I noticed it was much less painful. Still intense, but completely tolerable. What I also noticed though was that my gums were bleeding only a tiny bit while flossing and they were starting to look a healthy shade of pink again. Unbelievable. I will never let this happen again and will continue using Listerine after flossing. To me, the pain was both a punishment for letting myself go like this and also a sign that this formula was burning out all the bacteria and germs that were causing my problems. Want a healthy mouth? Set up a program and stick to it. It only takes ten minutes total out of your day. Brush, floss and thoroughly rinse with Listerine. Thank you for this product!

There is much room for improvement of my health . we all face serious health problems at times it is a very good idea to use Listerene products.

Since 10 years now i and my big brother has been using this Listerine products and its super cool and unique. I love the Antiseptic and Original product so so much. Its a good to go journey product in absence or present of toothbrush. Am from Nigeria in Africa.

I used Listerine Original when I was young and I really didn't like it. I always used a minty mouthwash. I have gotten older and take a lot of medications and my mouth always tasted funky - actually like moth balls sometimes. I decided to try the Listerine Original again and was so pleasantly surprised! I loved the burn in my mouth. It felt as if it was disinfecting all through my mouth. When I was done using it my mouth felt fresher and cleaner than it had in years. This is all I use now and won't ever go back. The other mouthwashes are just cover ups. Listerine is a true cleaning disinfecting mouthwash.
