I went back to the original Listerine when I started having problems with gum disease. It cleared it up really fast and I also stopped gagging on my mouthwash. The problem is that it yellows my teeth. Why does the product need to have the yellow dyes?

Like most products manufacturers produce, the original is the best and most effective product. One problem that I have with the original formula is that it stains my teeth; the whitening version in this line helps with the staining; however, it is not nearly as effective as the original. I'd rather not have to spend extra $$$ for whitening....oh well. Also, you can tell when someone uses the original Listerine, (esp. after immediate use) if they speak or blow their breath in your face....it's noticeable....because it has a....I don't know exactly how to describe it....I guess, I'd call it a funky? medicinal smell. It's not too bad, but definitely noticeable. I think I will try the Listerine naturals.

I let my supply of Listerine Regular run out--it can be hard to find--everyone with good dental sense is using it. I used another brand. Within days, my gums were bleeding and one spot is particular was very sore. Going back to Listerine--will stock up and never let my supply get below a certain level. Thank you for this product.

I had been using Listerine Original Mouth Wash for over 40 years, but I now cannot buy it in the UK. It is the ONLY Mouth Wash that works for me, other Listerine Products are useless! I am a therapist and used the product to ensure I had clean breath when working closely with clients!

I am a retired dental field employee of about 37 years. I know a thing or two about dental hygiene and healthy gums. Most people don't understand the importance of keeping your gums maintained and clean. That is where Listerine comes in. I use the original as a mouthwash and at night I add Listerine to my Hydrofloss to flush out any remaining debris that brushing and flossing might miss. Now, my mouth feels really clean and fresh! I know that I have done everything I can do to keep a healthy mouth. Of course, my dentist made my smile beautiful!!

In the past two years, my love for spicy food has gone up affecting my breath. In gathering, i can feel people uncomfortable around me. I have started using Listerine Freshburst for over two weeks morning and evening after flossing and brushing. My problem is, how do i know listerine is solving my problem or do i try a different variant of listerine for instance Listerine Origional?

Yes like most of the reviews. It does. It taste nice. It burns a little bit doesn’t leave me with scars or marks or sores though. You make the buring worse if you add water ... just a tip. I would recommend this but I will bring going back to the nightly reset as protecting my enamel is really important to me.

I am currently a 20 year old who suffers from gingivitis for several years and didn't take it serious enough when i didn't listen to my dentist. this product is a life changer when you brush twice a day, floss and use this mouthwash twice a day. my orthodontist and dentist has noticed several improvements in my gums when i go to get a check up and i still use it till this day. Listerine is the #1 mouthwash i will be using in the future. my suggestion for those out there is take your oral hygiene serious cause you don't wanna end up with gum disease for a few years.

I love the Listerine original. Is there any way the top could be made easier to Open. I am elderly and gave great difficulty opening the bottle. I can’t squeeze tight enough to move past the ridges. I live alone and have to wait for somebody to come by to open it

My dentist recommended I start using listerine so I bought this one because it says no alcohol. I’ve been using it for a month. It doesn’t burn too bad and I do see an improvement in my gums. However I started to notice a white film on my teeth when I woke up. I thought this was food residue (even though I floss as well) or maybe dead bacteria. After researching, I found out this product is causing my cheek skin to slough off! This could also damage the gums; I will switching to the original alcohol product.
