I am a retired dental field employee of about 37 years. I know a thing or two about dental hygiene and healthy gums. Most people don't understand the importance of keeping your gums maintained and clean. That is where Listerine comes in. I use the original as a mouthwash and at night I add Listerine to my Hydrofloss to flush out any remaining debris that brushing and flossing might miss. Now, my mouth feels really clean and fresh! I know that I have done everything I can do to keep a healthy mouth. Of course, my dentist made my smile beautiful!!

This product has given my mouth a 360 degree turn around.. I can't express enough how it makes my mouth feel after brushing and flossin.. I let my supply of Listerine Regular run out--it can be hard to find--everyone with good dental sense is using it. I used another brand. Within days, my gums were bleeding and one spot is particular was very sore. Going back to Listerine--will stock up and never let my supply get below a certain level. Thank you for this product.

For the past 40 years I've used the original Listerine and I will continue to use the original Listerine for the next 40 years (if I live that long). It leaves my mouth feeling clean and my breath fresh. No, it's not sweet or "minty" like candy and I appreciate that. Thank you for continuing to provide a not sweet or minty mouthwash option.

Due to other health issues, I had slacked off on my dental program over a two year period. Brushing once a day at night. Inevitably this led to bleeding gums and the signature puffy red telltale of gingivitis. I immediately started flossing again. While helpful, it wasn’t enough. A bloody mess, let’s leave it at that. I even started noticing that my gums were receding. Then I remembered Listerine. I never thought it was that intense or painful; when my mouth was healthy. So I bought Cool Mint Listerine and added it to my program. Brush, floss and rinse with Listerine twice a day. For the first week it was excruciating. It took everything I had to keep swishing for 30 seconds to a minute. But I held in and got through it. By the second week I noticed it was much less painful. Still intense, but completely tolerable. What I also noticed though was that my gums were bleeding only a tiny bit while flossing and they were starting to look a healthy shade of pink again. Unbelievable. I will never let this happen again and will continue using Listerine after flossing. To me, the pain was both a punishment for letting myself go like this and also a sign that this formula was burning out all the bacteria and germs that were causing my problems. Want a healthy mouth? Set up a program and stick to it. It only takes ten minutes total out of your day. Brush, floss and thoroughly rinse with Listerine. Thank you for this product!

I will surely take good look at my overall dental hygiene. There is much room for improvement of my health . we all face serious health problems at times it is a very good idea to use Listerene products.

I use Listerine every day . I think it's the best out there. I have been using it for about 40 years and I have no plans to stop. I won't say it stops all decaying teeth but I will tell you I have a lot less trouble than family and friends around me . I say try it for a couple months ad see! What do you have to lose ?

I can't remember when I started using Listerine, but it's been a very long time. I don't feel I have completely fresh mouth until after I've used the original amber liquid....and, my gums are very healthy. Ive tried a few of the other Listerine products, but always end up coming back to this one. I only hope the company continues to make this particular version... I've been having trouble finding in my local target store lately...I'm a little worried!

This is an OK mouthwash, I feel it does not last long when using this product for fresh breath. The cap is hard to twist open, even when pressing in the sides as directed. I do like that it is alcohol free, it does not sting my mouth at all, it is definitely a less intense feeling than the regular Listerine. My mouth and teeth feel very clean after using this product as directed . 

I grew up using the original aantiseptic Listerine mouthwash! After brushing my teeth, I poured a very small amount right into the cap to gargle and swish through my teeth!! I've been using it for forty years now, and never have had a bad breath problem, or teeth issues.... I still get compliments on my beautiful teeth!! :) My children both grew up using the same Listerine Antiseptic also, but with all the newer choices, have changed to the minty mouthwash...
