NOT AS GOOD AS THEY USED TO BE!

I have loved Craisins for years...until about the last year and a half. All I can say is that Ocean Spray must have changed the way they process their cranberries because they are just NOT good anymore! Instead of being the nice sweet/tart dried fruit they used to be, they have a weird texture now that is like they have been blown up, then shrunken down, and they lack the "punch" of "zingy" flavor they used to have. They are neither sweet enough nor tart enough, they just lack flavor altogether. I ALWAYS have these on hand. I buy them at a big box store so I buy the big 4lb bags. They used to be one of my favorite snacking foods as well as a salad/cookie/rice ingredient. I am so disappointed in the consistently poor quality that tonight that I felt compelled to write a review. I seriously need to find a new snack food.

Craisins good for our dogs

I have used this product for baking, snacking and also give to our dogs. Our vet told us it is a good product to give to our dogs. One has had uniary problems and the Craisins help . Our dogs think they are treats and love them. We usually add them to there food but sometimes they get them as a treat.

too much sugar

I like the idea of eating cranberries, but these are too sweet. I knew that they had some added sugar and bought them anyway. Now, I have finally read the label and am appalled: they have 29 g of added sugar (~ 6.5 teaspoons) per 1/4 cup of cranberries!!!! I wonder if I can wash the sugar off. I'll try to do that. Otherwise, I certainly won't be buying them anymore.

Hi Stretch, we completely understand you are concerned with the amount of sugar. Cranberries are naturally tart and require some sugar to make them more palatable. If you are looking for less sugar we would recommend checking out our Craisins® 50% Less Sugar Dried Cranberries at http://spr.ly/6427JmtOB

Great Product!

I buy the large size of Craisins because I use them almost every day. I have them in my oatmeal most mornings. I use them in making oatmeal cookies, biscotti and other Christmas cookies. They are Great in broccoli salad! I enjoy eating a handful just as a snack.

50% Less Sugar

I am a borderline diabetic so always on the lookout for less added sugar products. In my opinion your 50% less sugar product can have even less sugar and still be good. Say 75% less sugar. How about having QC do a consumer taste panel, 50% less vs. 75% less and see which one is preferred, and why?

Incorrect Nutrition Information

1/4 cup of dried cranberries has 2 grams of fibre per the government. I purchased two packages that say 10 grams per 1/4 cup. Looking at the nutritional information on this website, I found 3 grams of fibre per 1/4 cup. First one wrong. Second one wrong.

Make a Package You Can Open

I agree that the product is great if you can access it. The problem is you can't open the package without using a pair of scissors. I have a 1/2 cup fruit pouch I was looking forward to eating but I can only stare at it as I currently don't have any scissors handy. Come on, fix this problem! Have your engineers ever tried to open this package they designed???

Good morning start

I’m a cooked oatmeal lover. Mornings just wouldn’t be the same without a bowl of cooked oatmeal with Craisins and slivered almonds. I’m convinced my cholesterol wouldn’t be so good if I weren’t eating this combo for over 10 years. Ok, and maybe a few handfuls for a snack!

Recipe king

I keep finding recipes that ask for dried cranberries which I don't find in the many grocery stores in our area. So I substitute cranraisens and find that they work fine. It adds a surprisingly interesting taste to backed or skillet chicken, cookies and even beef pot roast.

Reseal Strip Needs Revision

Your product is good, but your packaging is terrible. The reseal strip you use on the 48 oz pkg is worse than one would find on a cheap generic store brand product. Why don't you spend a few pennies more on a resealable strip which works vs one where the consumer has to struggle with to close.
