I've used these drops every sense it was recommended by an ophthalmologist. My mother recently had to receive shots in her eyes, which were quite painful and irritated her eyes. My wife loves the way her eyes feel after using these eye drops and gets relief for many hours. This works for me as I would not like to see her in discomfort from dry eyes. The brand Systane has been a part of my morning and nightly ritual since approximately 1980. I continue to use it twice daily every day. Sam’s Club has the Ultra version which works very well to moisten my dry eyes, which also suffer from Fuch’s Corneal Dystrophy. I highly recommend Systane Ultra if you have dry eyes.

Every family member needs to have their own bottle—eye drops are not something to be shared. One bottle lasts quite a while but it is always nice to have an extra on hand in case you get an eye infection and have to throw it out to avoid contaminating the other eye. My dry eyes were causing blurry vision. My eye doctor recommended extra lubricant drops over the regular Refresh Tears drops that I had been using. She gave me a sample of Refresh Mega 3 as well. The Mega 3 is preservative free and perhaps because of that they came in a single use disposable vials. I tried Mega 3 for a week and they seemed to help a bit. But then bought Systane Ultra since it has different lubricant additives. It seems to be more efficient and last longer. It does have a preservative but I felt no irritation because if it. I would recommend these only because of the single use vials that come with Mega 3.
