Having our monthly sleepover with my special five grand kids,I wanted something special for breakfast so I thought of pancakes,waffles etc.Just as I was getting up,they all showed up in room,with grins and saying",Grammy we fixed you OUR favorite breakfast, so good and yummy easy to fix said my 3year old you got the good stuff this morning cause we love you as much as this Maple an Brown Sugar Oatmeal,

My son and I have ASD. This oatmeal has been a regular staple in our house for years. Getting him to eat anything is difficult. While I can appreciate a more natural recipe, the flavor is completely different from the original recipe. He won’t eat it, and gags if he even smells it. I gave the rest to my neighbor and his daughter, he said she won’t eat it either. I guess I’m not buying it anymore, bought some Red Mill oats, and I’m making it myself. There are a lot of recipes online that duplicate the flavor of the old recipe.

The taste is way too sweet. I really miss the original Maple and Brown sugar product from the 1990s before all the recipe changes took place. I would eat this every morning. Now I buy 1 box per year hoping that the taste has improved. It hasn’t. I like the idea of added fiber and protein, but I want the taste and texture to be what it was.

I go though cycles with my breakfast. About every 3 months or so I change up what I eat. Well I still had some of the old maple brown sugar oatmeal and it as always was great. Got a new box and was like what is this. It was horrible so thinking there is no way they changed the recipe got a new box from a different store. Guess what just as horrible. I have no idea what you all did but change it back and when you do having marketing know and let us know. Until then I am done going to look for another product.

I have been eating the M&BS for over 20 years,and was so let down a few years ago when they changed the flavor.so I did not buy it anymore.Untill I came across the new package in store marked Clasic, so I tried it, and it was great......Thank You for bringing it back

It makes me laugh that you keep responding that you changed the product to meet consumer demand yet all of the current reviews are telling you that the new taste and change is horrendous. Whoever ok'd the change should be fired as you have wrecked our mornings and no doubt any profit you would have made on the Maple and Brown Sugar line. No one will be buying it anymore because it tastes like slop! Did you not use a test market with taste buds before you decided to change it?

I bought a box of Maple and Brown Suger a few weeks ago and took it back to the store thinking it was a bad box. There was no hint of maple flavor at all. I'm all for less sugar, but not "no flavor". Bought another box (variety flavors), but the taste of maple is still lacking. This used to be my favorite flavor. I guess I'll need to add maple syrup to it.

The second the Quaker Instant Oatmeal Maple and Brown Sugar hits my lips I am enamored, it is my favorite thing in the world and is always the best start to my day and even makes a great dinner. Some cranberries on top bring it to the next level! Oatmeal even sparked a connection between me and my now husband, thank you Mr. Quaker! We both reached for the last maple and brown sugar box at the supermarket and he let me keep it as long as I gave him my number. Love at first oatmeal box and now our kids enjoy it every morning!

I was a fan of the M and BS flavor instant oatmeal, and ate it every day! The recipe change a few years back and I couldn't stand the taste of it. Classic came into the picture and I was again a daily consumer, but now I am no longer able to locate the Classic. I would buy it bulk if I could find it. Now I mostly just eat toast for breakfast, while hoping the classic will return.

The last 2 purchases i've made of the instant oatmeal the Brown Sugar has been near solid rock. Ever after adding water, etc not all of those rocks break down. Which means the flavor profile is inconsistent, extremely sweet when you get a rock, or less from other parts of the bowl. In both cases the "Best if used before" is over a year away. Furthermore, its all packages in multiple boxes. Not sure what has changed with the quality controls, but my disappointment is rising. My favorite breakfast, may have to change to a different brand...
