Maple Brown Sugar is one of my all time favorite flavors when it comes to Quaker oats instant oatmeal. I eat this as breakfast and as a fast snack. It has just the right sweetness, and you can either eat it as is or add your favorite toppings (mine being apples, and when I'm feeling a little different a dollop of pumpkin).

This use to be my favorite breakfast but recently I noticed that not only has the package changed but so has the cereal. I tend to like mine really thick however if I make it this way with the new kind, it has what appears to be a slimy feel in your mouth. The only way to avoid this is to make it extremely watered down like soup. It also lacks the usually awesome flavor. I have no clue what you did do the recipe but it wasn't a good change & it wasn't only this flavor as I tried the apple one too & it was the same. I was able to find the old packaging in a store this past weekend & the difference between the two is very noticeable. I won't be buying this anymore once I can only get the new kind.

Overall this is the kind of quality product you should expect from a trustworthy company like Quaker. It is convenient and quick and makes a great breakfast if Maple and Brown Sugar are a flavor you generally like. I care for someone with diabetes who is always craving something sweet and this product has low enough sugar for him to enjoy on a regular basis within his particular diet. I would definitely recommend this product!

Why can't companies just leave things alone. My last couple of boxes of Maple and Brown sugar have been awful. The flavor is just weird and the color is so much darker. It does not taste good at all. I switched boxes thinking maybe it went bad, but opened a new box today and it was just the same. Going to have to switch brands now.

My family, especially my boys, have enjoyed Quakers instant oatmeal for years. An easy, quick, hot breakfast to start the day. When I recently purchased more, I noticed the packaging had changed but thought nothing of it until we made some. The oatmeal was gummy almost dry and felt sticky when we ate it . The flavour seem was flat and had a more of an artificial taste. Why the change?...What was wrong with the original ? I was unaware that Quaker had made changes to the oatmeal since no where on the box did it say "new taste" or "new and improved" Isn't it common practice to tell customers when you have changed a product? I recently purchased 3 boxes and now no one in my family will eat it .....maybe someone at the food bank can use it

Been eating the low sugar M&BS oats every morning now for at least 2 years. Saw the change on the box and went ahead and bought 3 of them anyways. Ate the first bowl and then threw almost 3 full boxes away as the new formula now taste like pooh. Now i have to find a new breakfast cereal. I get wanting to make a change to more natural ingredients and such, but i would have highly recommended just making a new line of "Natural ingredient" oats and offered both up. I know that you've at least lost my business. Let me know when you change back to the previous recipe and I would be more than happy to be a customer again.

I too have ate this brand for years. I agree with the previous comment where are the brown sugar cups? Another thing that has really turned me off is the occasional piece of black something when I smash it against my bowl with a spoon it almost seems as if it’s an insect. Completely turned my stomach and turned me off. I use to enjoy eating this because it’s good for your heart and healthy for your body. Please improve the recipe Quaker. Hopefully not too many grammar issues as I was not able to go back and review my review!

My whole house smells like maple syrup and I am still literally I tasting this in my mouth 9 hours after I ate it. I’m concerned about that and why my throat hurts. It was cooled off for 20 minutes before I ate it. I know this because I was on a phone call.

I had bought the variety pack and the Maple was so good that I decided to buy the box of just the Maple and Brown Sugar. Unless you have tasted the Maple Brown Sugar out of the variety box you may think that this has the Maple Flavoring and it does not. There is absolutely no Maple Flavoring in these boxes. I bought two of them. Of course, I am going to eat them but I also call Quaker to let them know that the consistency of flavoring is definitely missing. I am very disappointed that they would leave out the flavoring.

I just purchased a box of the low sugar maple brown sugar oatmeal and noticed the box has changed, red flag! I cooked the oatmeal as I have the last several years and it was a bowl of white mush. The sweetness has gone, the texture is mushier and color is a lot lighter. To me that can only mean 1 thing, the brand has cheapened the product. Will not purchase again. Sad to see this, I did love the oatmeal for breakfast.
