This is great and cooks up really quickly. Two cups of hot water and you're good to go. I'm not sure I would call them buttery, but definitely potatoee. It's great by itself, put some shredded cheese and bacon bits on top or serve with gravy. I promise you, you will think you're eating potatoes - if you make it with 2 cups of hot water. I'm not sure what it would taste like if you ate it without the hot water, why would you do that?

These are really great mashed potatoes and are so convenient to make, we've switched to this brand. Taste smooth and buttery w/o adding anything but water. And they are so easy to order from! Also discovered their other flavors are wonderful.

Incredibly easy to make and no need to mix water, milk and butter. Just boil water, add the mix and stir. The flavor is at least as good as the original Idahoan product.

I never liked Instant Mashed Potatoes however there are times that it's hard for me to shop for some items so I decided to try Idahoan Buttery Homestyle Mashed Potatoes and I liked the taste of it.

I always have some on hand. They’re really good, “ real” potatoes, and I use these when I don’t have the time to do, the others. You won’t be disappointed.

We like this as real potatoes seem to go bad before we can eat them. I make them with half water and half milk to make them taste more like home made.
