We know NOTHING beats real mashed potatoes, but these are the best instant potatoes on the market. Add milk, butter, and seasoning and they are great! I also add the brown gravy mix that I get in the spice isle at Sam's! Great additions...tastes just like KFC, when you do this!

For a long time the only way I got these was at Sam's club. Then found em on amazon. Then I happened to hit on walmart.com and can get them on my walmart account. Thank goodness. They are the best instant mashed potatoes of any brand I have found.My husband prefers them to homemade mashed potatoes and I am not about to argue with that.

Oh my God! It took me a month to finally try to make these and what a shock! In the microwave for 2 minutes, then sired in the potatoes and they are the best mashed potatoes ever! Better than homemade, but probably because of the butter added. No salt needed. They are perfectly seasoned straight from the box. Easiest side dish ever!

I had been making the store bought flake potatoes to make for my son because he enjoyed them. After I joined Samsclub, I found these and based on the claims on the box, decided to try them. We were amazed how great these Idahoan potatoes tasted! I always microwave them and it turns out perfectly. I highly recommend them and will never go back to the flakes. Samsclub MUST keep these in stock! Although the directions call for a higher percentage of water than milk, I like to use at least fifty percent milk.

Follow your instincts. Use milk instead of water. Add garlic or more margarine for your family's preference. We add fresh garlic sometimes or cheese to give these a kick. They are a basic mashed potato and if you follow the basic directions, thats what you'll get: a basic mashed potato meant for large foodservice situations. But if you get creative these can be very flavorful and fast at the same time. Don't be afraid to experiment with these spuds.

These are awesome and addictive. I really like the instructions for smaller servings that allows for no waste or leftovers. They?re so delicious I find myself awakening from sleep walking with potato flakes covering my nose and face with neatly cut lines of potato flakes on the counter. No joke these are the best. Husbands beware, eating these will make you lie to your wife when she asks, ?are they better then my homemade potatoes?? I should?ve lied but it really strengthend our bond, the potatoes and I have a lot more time to dedicate to one another now. Also I like to add some extra milk or water then suggested, as I prefer my mashed potatoes of a thinner consistency.

These instant potatoes have a real potato taste. I was surprised at how good they taste for instant potatoes. No over processed or chemical after taste. They didn't make me swell either which is a good thing because I'm very sensitive to a lot of preservatives and additives.
