Repeat purchase. Quick, easy, best tasting instant potatoes in a box. I've tried many brands, this is hand's down the best. I always keep them on hand. You can even double the butter, and still come out great. I've tried half and half instead milk a few times too & they come out just as good. Highly recommend.

I wasn't even expecting to buy these potatoes while my boyfriend and I were just browsing through Sam's but there was a sample of these potatoes and I was really surprised! They don't taste like the typical runny, or just off mix potatoes, they actually have the same texture, and taste as real potatoes. Also, at home they came out just as well as those who made it at Sam's as a sample. Don't get me wrong, nothing beats homemade mashed potatoes, but these are very close! Super convenient and a great price considering how much time and effort it saves! I recommend them to all my friends wanting a great mix potato!

I don't bother making the real thing anymore. To clarify another comment made... you CAN make it with just water, but it will taste quite bland. I follow the instructions for milk and butter preperation, then string in some sour cream and garlic powder as well. Takes about 5 minutes with the microwave. Stop reading reviews and buy this!!

I do not like instant mashed potatoes in general but these are amazing. Not only do they taste the same as homemade but they have a much closer texture to homemade mashed potatoes. We’ve gone through nearly an entire box in 2 weeks so I purchased two more. Great for quick meals and for long term storage.

These are the best instant potatoes you can find anywhere. But when you make them if you follow the directions on the box, you will get a basic mashed potato. When I make them I use a little more milk and add a little butter/margarine. I even add a little sour cream, bacon bits & shredded cheese for a "loaded" mashed potato. This doesn't exactly taste like "real" mashed potatoes, but they do come very close to tasting like the real thing. I will definitely buy these again & again.

Our family has tried many different brands over the years. Idahoan comes closest to fresh mashed potatoes. The recipes on the box should be treated as suggestions, though. Following them exactly results in potatoes that are too 'loose' for our liking. Adding more of the buds takes care of that in a hurry. Just add a bit, stir, and wait a moment for the dry mix to soak IP the water/milk mix. In the end we consider this product an excellent buy.

Tasteless anddesigned for commercial use. Individual Idahoan pouches are easy and delicious.

The online ad says only add 1 ingredient water but the package says add add water,milk and butter. So which is correct?
