I typically drink almond, coconut, and cashew milk because I follow a keto diet, while my husband is a very dedicated milk drinker. I usually avoid store brand milk because it often smells sour before the expiration date, which led me to try Fairlife since it lasts longer. However, Fairlife costs over five dollars for less than a half gallon, so I began researching shelf stable and powdered milk options. After several days of reading reviews and comparing products, I decided to try Nido. I originally planned to buy a smaller container, but after learning about the many ways it could be used if my husband did not like it, I decided to purchase the large one and I am very glad that I did. My husband mentioned that he was out of milk, so I made a batch for him to try. He was extremely skeptical and assumed he would not like it, and honestly I did not expect it to taste that great either. I added four cups of cold water and one cup of powder to a blender, mixed it, poured it into an empty half gallon milk container, and then repeated the process. While the second batch was blending, I tasted the first batch and I was genuinely surprised. It tasted creamy and even better than store bought milk to me, but the real test was my husband’s reaction. I poured him a glass and had him try it, and he ended up loving it. This was before it even had time to sit overnight, and I had read that the flavor improves after resting in the refrigerator. We will definitely be purchasing this again because it is now our preferred milk product. I am extremely happy with this purchase and how well it worked for our household. The only small concern I noticed is that the powder looks slightly damp, though the seal was fully intact, so I assume that is normal and just new to me.

I mix this half and half with milk and tastes great. Saves money.
