Perfect for baking

I love the Toll House Semi-Sweet chips. They aren't super sweet so when I bake things that are already sweet enough, this is the perfect addition. I use them for candies, cookies, cakes, dipping, decorations and, my favorite, in a smore instead of chocolate bars. So delicious!

The best there is!

You can buy really good expensive chocolate chips for your baking and get great taste. You can buy good store brand chocolate chips and get a good tasting chip. But I choose to buy Nestle Toll House as they are as good as the expensive chips, and priced in line with the store brand. Plus, it's all my mom ever used and this tradition has been passed down to my own adult daughter. I'll not buy anything else. Nestle is my choice.

Semi-Sweet Sweetness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the semi-sweet morsels in my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. The morsels packed my cookie with loads of flavor! The kids loved the cookies and I will definitely be using again. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.

Totally versatile!!

I love using Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels! They work extremely well in most recipes where Cocoa is called for!! I would not use them in a cake recipe that called for the cocoa powder to make the batter chocolate- they not only make cookies super I use them in puddings, chocolate cream pie, oatmeal, pancakes and I can never resist sneaking a few to enjoy straight from the bag!

Double Chocolate

I am a disabled senior and baking is difficult, but I am a chocolate addict. I use a chocolate cake mix, 1 cube of butter, one egg and 1-2 tablespoons of water. Hand mix completely and then add 1/2 cup of Tollhouse semi sweet chips and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. They are delicious.

No Christmas Fudge For My Family!

I have been making "Eva's Fudge" every Christmas for over 31 years. One year, I actually made 75 pounds of it for friends and family! It is with GREAT disappointment that the Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips are not melting properly for fudge. Unfortunately, after trying two batches, both have gone into the trash. Yes, it's December 24th, and this will be the very first year that my family will not have any fudge for Christmas, something that is a special treat for everyone. I was informed via the Nestle "live chat" that the recipe has not changed. If not, have you changed ingredient suppliers or the locations of your production facilities? Time to call QC!!! Thanks!

Severely Disappointed

I have been making Christmas Cracker Candy for my son for 20 some years. I have NEVER had a failure. The morsels wouldn't melt properly, in order to spread the chocolate. It was nothing but a grainy mess! Nestle, YOU HAVE CHANGED THE RECIPE! Stop lying to the public, you cheapened or changed the ingredients

Bioengineered

Soy Lecithin is the bioengineered substance that Nestle's now adds to their chocolate chips and products. They claim it's for an emulsifier. There are health studies on soy lecithin. Use at your own risk. I returned the bag I bought and won't be buying Nestle's again or anything that is now using the blanket word, Bioengineered (BE) ingredient. Read, read, read the ingredients!

None Better

As a "responsible" grandma, my granddaughter and I don't always make sweets together, but when we do, a great chocolate chip cookie includes Nestles Semi Sweet and Nestlés Milk Chocolate Chips. We have such fun mixing up the dough and baking assorted size cookies. Plus my granddaughter gets to take home some of her own creation and share with Mom and Dad. Mmmm memories.

Delicious

I love the strong chocolate taste without overpowering sweetness.I made the chocolate chip cookies after the recipe on the package.Don't have a round tablespoon and got bigger cookies but they were easy to make and turned out good.I love that there are a lot morsels in the cookies.I also use much less sugar than the recipe is saying because I like it less sweet.Would make them again.
