[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a “Variety Pack” containing four separate boxes of 52 one-gallon storage bags, 50 one-quart storage bags, 125 sandwich bags and 120 snack bags (approximately half the size of a sandwich bag), for a total of 347 bags. All of the bags have Ziploc’s Double Zipper, which is press-to-close (not a separate slider). A new feature is the “Easy Open Tab”, which has eliminated the problem of trying to separate and open the two halves of the bag when it is tightly closed. Because these are not freezer storage bags, the plastic is a bit thinner than for freezer storage; however, I have used them in the freezer without a problem. I use these bags for storing leftovers – no more expensive foil or sticky plastic wrap – then the used ones get recycled for small amounts of trash, vegetable peelings, cooled grease poured off from a pan, etc. The gallon size is great for marinating meat or vegetables – just place all items into the bag, pour in the marinade, seal the top and place in a bowl in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Of course, the quart size is the required size for holding small bottles of liquid when going through airport security, and it’s a good idea to pack a few extra of all sizes for holding wet laundry, souvenirs, small toys, cosmetics, etc. The snack size is ideal for packing raw vegetables, dry cereal, and little surprises for the kids when on a long flight. I have also used the gallon size for protecting some fragile, old (125+ years) books. This Variety Pack would also make a great practical gift for college students or newlyweds setting up a new residence. Their uses are virtually limitless and I highly recommend them.

We've found many uses for each size and I would definitely purchase this set in the future. The best part is that you get 347 bags of differing sizes. They're very strong bags and I have yet to one a hole in them (even my rough 7 y/o hasn't broken one so I'm very impressed).

Perfect for everyday use on almost everything. 52 storage gallon, 50 storage quart, 120 snack bags, 125 sandwich bags. I like using them for storing left over packets of oatmeal to help seal in the freshness. I like using them for storing chips on the go. I love how they seal up tightly not having to worry about any spoilage. I can honestly say these bags are perfect.

So, I tend to need the bags for holiday cookie dough as well. The other day I bought several pounds of green peanuts, two roasted chickens, and lots of fresh tomatoes. When green peanuts are available at the farmer’s market I tend to buy quite a lot of them so that we can have them around when the season is over. So, this Ziploc Double Zipper Variety Pack of Storage Bags were the perfect item for me! I boiled my peanuts and placed them in several of the quart size bags. I also took my sliced tomato and placed it into the sandwich bag. I thought that was a great way to preserve my sliced tomatoes in the fridge! After taking a few pieces of chicken off one of the whole roasted chicken, I then put the whole chicken and the half chicken into the gallon size bag and it fit like a charm! The one feature of these bags that I REALLY liked was that they have an extra piece of overhang bag at the top. This allows us to be able to EASILY pull the two pieces apart to get into the bags. What an awesome idea! No more finger fumbling with the bags trying to separate the two pieces! Nice job!

There are 4 sizes in this pack : gallon,quart,sandwich,and snack. These are the very sizes that I use regularly,and having them all in one carton is convenient, and, cost effective. I've tested the strength of each of the bags by filling them with warm water,sealing them,and applying a moderate-to-strong amount of pressure. The zip-lock seals closed with one swipe,and, held securely! I've Not had that happen with Any other brands of bags I used in the past - they ALL required Several Pressured swipes,and there was Usually some leakage of the contents! And,the design of the seal,with a pull-tab like extension in the middle,facilitates easy opening. That was a very welcome surprise,and improvement over the regular/old designs.( there were Many times that I resorted to cutting the old bags open!) That feature alone has sold Me on switching to This Brand! I have already recommended these bags to my family,especially the ones with small children (the snack bags are perfect for the toddlers).

Not every item fits into every bag when you are putting it into a bag for storage. The snack size is perfect for when I want to take individual snacks in for my class. Completely cuts down on the arguing of who got more. The sandwich size is perfect for chips for my husband's snacks at work. I can get the "man" size amount of chips in there for him. When I purchase beef I on occasion will pickup what I refer to as the log of beef. 3 pounds in a large tubular shape. There are those occasions I will have leftover meat. In the old days it was put foil or plastic around it. It always leaked. But now I put it in a Ziploc Bag and know that it will stay fresher longer and NO blood drippings! The 52 gallon Ziploc Bag is not only perfect large cuts of meat. I use these to store craft items to help keep them organized. They are also perfect for traveling for that once opened bag that a chip clip doesn't work on. Now it's time to discuss the new top. Yes, the very top has been changed, and for the best. The bags are still the amazing zip lock and made from quality materials but there is now a tab at the very top. This makes opening so much easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Variety Pack is great. You have 120 snack size, 125 sandwich size, 50 quart size and 52 gallon size all in this Variety Pack. I love the way Ziploc has worked on their system and they open and close so much easier than ones I have purchased in the past. The snack and sandwich bags are a little thinner than the quart and gallon size. There is also no where to write on the snack and sandwich bags in case you had different items and needed to know which was which. In other words if you made different types of sandwiches there is no place to write what type sandwich you made. The quart and gallon storage do have a place to write what you have in them and date it. Might be why the plastic is a little thicker. All in all I have enjoyed using these very much and not having to worry about lining the bag correctly for it to close. It is also a breeze to open since they have allowed for the center of the top of the bag to have a 1/2 inch raised section helping you know where to open it.

Sometimes I would think the bag was sealed and the color let me know it wasn't. As a college student I really love the snack size ones. With this pack you have a size for every need.

I like the variety box so I have the right bag for the right need. Besides storing food, I also use them to store small craft items. The double zipper is very secure - no leaks when marinating meat with bbq sauce. Love it.
