I use them to store my raw chicken and put them in the freezer. They keep my chicken fresh for a couple of weeks when I'm not going to use it right away. I like the new stay open design because you can pour liquids or whatever in there straight from the pan without having to scoop it up. It comes in handy and It's a very good edition to a regular ziploc.

I don't know how you could possibly consider these Ziploc's because they don't lock. They'll shut, but at the slightest pressure they will bust open. I don't even wanna waste my time going into all the details on why these are terrible, but don't waste your money. It's not what you think it is.

I use it to store several different foods, including leftover roast. The Ziploc Grip n Seal gallon storage bags are strong enough and large enough to protect the freshness of my roast, taco shells, and leftover pasta. I use the Ziploc Gallon Grip N Grab storage bag to carry travel supplies, and it is great to be able to reuse these bags over and over ago for my travel supplies.

Every other plastic bag I've used has to lay down on its side, and so is a pain, especially for liquids or things which needs to be poured/dumped in like salads or fruits/veggies from a big bowl. The only change I would make, though, is the seal. I often use bigger bags for marinating chicken and other proteins, and so my hands are really dirty, and I often only have one clean hand at best for closing the bag. This seal needs two hands; a zipper closure would be so much better, but it's a minor inconvenience as the seal works just fine and is better than standard plastic bags that don't have the special flap.

Now, when filling the bags, one can open them, set it upright, and fill it without worrying about holding it open. The bags are the normal strength and thickness, and are what you would expect from the gold standard of disposable storage bags. These are a ten in my book!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I accidentally bought the "storage" instead of the "freezer" style bags recently. they're definitely thinner, and I'm bummed that I can't use them for storing meats in my freezer, but they still work for defrosting and marinating. I definitely prefer my freezer bags for the extra functionality of standing up to the cold, but these will do for the time being.
