I've been using these newer style bags (gallon and quart) for a while and I am seeing a problem with the new style flap for opening the bag. It seems the lower side flap peels away form the bag from time to time. This occurs on the Gallon size and the Quart size. When the flap peels away it is very difficult to open the open the bag. When this happens I have to transfer the contents to a new bag. Not very cost effective. This could be an R & D problem. a design problem or an intentional design flaw to force the consumer to replenish their bag for frequently.

Can't I have the old Ziploc gallon size bag back. This size is hard to open and tears at the zipper when I try an open it whether it's the first time or any time after that. I have never been disappointed with Ziploc products before this one. The sandwich and quart size with this new zipper open just fine. It just seams to be the gallon size for me.

These bags have a newer zip/closure that is extremely hard to open. Since it's so hard to open, if you give it a little tug, it rips the bag right away... Very disappointed in this product... For some reason the other Ziploc bags are great, just this one is the problem...

I have always purchased ziplock bags and had no problems with them. I purchased the new zip lock quart bags and every time I would go to zip them shut they would pull apart below the zipper. Not just me but my son also had them do the same thing! Also, the gallon bags with the new zipper came apart at the bottom seam and spilled everything in it! I have always trusted ziplock but these new ones are not the quality they should be!

I use Ziploc bags for almost anything, wet food, dry food, small items, money, cooking, crafting, you name it...the bags are so easy to use, starting with the way they come out from the box, no struggle! they're solid, no matter what I put in them, no matter how hard I work them

I purchased this new design in your gallon storage bags. Every single bag malfunctions after opening and closing it several times. The top zip rips off the bag and the remaining zip closure does not provide an airtight seal. I have purchased your gallon bags for years and could actually get multiple uses out of one bag by rinsing it out and reusing. This new design doesn't even last through one use. These bags are not cheap and now they are unreliable. Please go back to the old reliable design.

The Ziploc Easy Open Tabs bags do not offer the same quality as the regular Ziploc bags. Both the quart-sized and sandwich bag seams split upon opening them, and the bags leak. I have always marinated a whole chicken in a gallon-sized bag, and have been able to turn it upside down to move the marinade through to coat the chicken. I was unable to do this successfully with the gallon-sized Easy Open Tab bag because the marinade leaked through the opening. I hope SC Johnson considers nixing this Ziploc bag and goes back to the tried and true.

We have used the Ziploc brand for years, but this new design has made us switch to another brand. These are nearly impossible to reclose, they often leak and the tab has torn off. Something you might expect from a cheap knock-off, but not from Ziploc. Sorry to see the brand go down hill and sorry to have to switch brands after all these years.

These are not "easy open" as they say. It is very hard to open. A person with arthritis could not open them. Once you do get it opened, if you're not careful the bag will tear because you have to pull so hard, and you have to get another one. Waste of money. I will be purchasing from another bag maker.

Have used Ziploc gallon storage bags for years. When you first released the easy open bags they worked great. Now the last three boxes I purchased the top rips off before I can open the bag to use it. Not only very frustrating but expensive because I have frequently have to use a second bag. So double the cost to store the leftovers.
