They don't leak and are easy to seal. My toddler is even able to open and close these, which he has difficulty doing with other brands. They also hold up great for long term use when we use them for coloring utensils and puzzles/legos. These are definitely my go to purchase.

I have the same issue that Bill from OK stated, the bags rip down the side. I have a powdered mocha mix I make for my daughter, i triple bagged it before shipping, because the first 2 ripped on opening! Plus I also wrapped the mix in plastic grocery bags to insure the ziplock bags didn't break in shipping !

I'm no longer putting my hands on the bag when filling it up with marinade. Clean, easy and closes on the first time. Whereas other brands trying to close them can be a struggle.

I was skeptical at first but after doing a side by side comparison of the regular one and the new design, I was impressed that it did stay open while filling it. The new design is slightly wider at the bottom and design to allow for it to sit more flat compared to a regular ziploc bag.

I usually buy the Ziploc Freezer Gallon. My first impression is that it's thinner than I'm used to. Nothing wrong with that. What impresses me is the ability of a stay open design for filling. This will help in adding things directly into the bag without the need to hold open. My only worry is the thickness of the plastic. Not yet sure how durable the Ziploc Storage Gallon is. Only time and use will tell. Since I regularly use the Ziploc brand, I'm currently confident with the Ziploc Storage Gallon I should be able to find many uses for this type of Ziploc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ziploc® Brand Storage Bags, Gallon, with Stay Open Design are the best storage bags! My favorite use for these because they do stay open is when I'm cutting up a big package of chicken. I line up a few bags open and have easy access to drop my cut chicken into the bags without having to handle the bags and get yucky chicken juices everywhere. These bags are super durable and close easily. I feel confident these bags won't break or leak. Ziplock makes great quality storage bags.

I have been using Ziplock bags for years and I really hate this new design with the "Stand up bottom". By creating the stand up bottom the SIDES ARE SHORTER of the bag. I rely on the length of the bags (both gallon and half gallon bags) to store multiple things in them and many of these things don't fit any more (ie. opened Bacon, meat packages, cheese, ect..) and these things no longer fit. As well the :stand up bottom" once filled DON'T STACK WELL IN FREEZER because they don;t lie flat, things get caught in the corners after freezing, and they flop all over the freezer (ie, blueberries, apples, ect...) I don;t want to upscale to larger size because that just adds more air to freezing. Please go back to the original design or at least offer that one to purchase as well. These "stand up bottom" has some advantages (with loose snacks, ect..) but shortening the bag by folding the sides doesn't make up for it. Perhaps a compromise would be to bring the sides back to original length or have a multipurpose pack with both kinds in it!

These rip half the time when we try and open them. Have to open them from the sides, like you would a bag of chips, which doesn't work when filled with wet stuff. Also got an entire bag that was split at the top underneath the ziploc, like someone took a razor to it. And these things happen no matter where I buy them. I think I will only use the freezer style from now on.
