They are more durable than most generic brands I have tried. I love that they can stand up as you are filling them. They are also very easy to close, unlike some other brands I have tried.

I absolutely love the zip lock brand and I'm always using the gallon bags for something or another. In the past I have tried off brands but it just didn't stand up to ziploc. The fact that they have finally came out with a version that stands up is icing on the cake! Now I don't need an extra set of hands to held hold the bags when I'm doing food storage.

This is so much easier for storing in the fridge and freezer and not having a mess. The only thing I didn't like was the cardboard panel for opening on the top.
