I've just opened a second box of the Gallon Stay Open bags, and, as in the first box, all of the bags have slits across one side just above the logo. I have to tape them shut in order to use them. They are too expensive to just throw away.

These new easy open tabs are horrible. The tabs easily rip off, which then makes the bag very hard to open. The Great Value bags are much better- save your money and buy those.

The last 4 pack ordered was garbage. From the box, 1/4 to 1/2 of the zip seals separated when opening and were useless. Of those that resealed, 1/2 separated when opening a second time.

The extra long tab makes opening the bags EZ! Great idea as I have arthritis and my hands take longer to do things--like opening and closing the zip lines on closures of plastic bags for storage & freezing.

Our Sam’s had only the Slider Freezer variety bags available. Almost every “zip” top has either broken, caused the bag to rip or wouldn’t seal even when used for different storage methods. Will not buy again.

I have always used Ziploc and will continue doing so. I just wish they would go back to the original closures. These are so hard to close and many times you think they are but they are not. Still the best product on the market

I try to steer away from plastic usage, but these are so handy to freeze leftovers flat in the freezer. It save me a lot food waste and clean up time. I often reuse after washing and drying.

I'm sure that they're the same volume for fluids or small bulk things like nuts, but if you're putting something large in the bags, all the Stay-Open does is make one of the dimensions about 20% smaller. Bring back the old design. For me, these effectively hold half what the old ones did. Unfortunately, all of the other brands have this same stupid design, too.

I bought these and I am very disappointed with the stay open design - it limits the amount you can put in the bag! Today I tried to put a steak in a quart bag for the freezer but the length was not there so had to use a gallon that ended up folding three times over the steak.

Been using for years - like the new stay open feature.
