I have always been a major fan of Ziploc. They have always been my favorite brand for storage bags because I feel like the seal they get is far superior to any other bag, and the plastic walls are thick enough to properly insulate especially for the freezer where its so important. We buy cheaper thinner bags for packing lunches and such, but we know freezer bags are worth investing a little more in!

These are the best and most versatile storage bags. The plastic is strong and thick and the seal is great, keeping my food fresh in the freezer for as long as I need to. These are a good size for a family sized meal, and are also great for sous vide cooking a family dinner of chicken or steak. These bags are super reliable and I can count on them to stay sealed and intact. And they are BPA free!

I have been using Ziploc bags for 45 years and the whole case of Gallon bags I bought are defective. Everyone of them and I paid a lot for a whole case of them. EVERY BAG I opened up with my Sausage and vegetables are in have ripped at the top when opening them and can not be resealed. I am so disappointed. I need to find another brand, can't keep spending money on these bags if they are not going to preform like they used to be.

These stay open design, gallon freezer bags have stored a variety of foods for my family, varying from leftover shredded cheeses and lettuce from my son's birthday party, to burger and soups prepared for the work week. Ziploc's stay open design makes it easy for one person to pour whatever food item in the bag on their own, versus needing another set of hands to not create a mess. These bags also have a great seal to them when closing, so even after a week of storage in the refrigerator or longer in the freezer, my foods stayed fresh for my next use. No spills, leaks or extra air in the ziploc bags made it so no messes were detected after food storage in the refrigerator or freezer. I really don't have any negative things or cons to these freezer bags as they worked better than other sandwich and freezer bag brands I have used in the past.

They are very snappy, so there's no question about whether or not you sealed it. I do like the idea of being able to stand the bag up and fill it with a liquid or anything, really. But filling with a liquid is risky once you get it half full. Anything over halfway, and you might be cleaning up a spilled over bag. My only real complaint is that the perforated box doesn't open well/cleanly. I found myself trying to finish opening the box (so it wouldn't look so jagged) with a pair of scissors. As expected, I lost a bag by cutting into it with the scissors... even though I was super careful. Overall it's a good product and a great idea.

I've used ziploc freezer bags for years. But the new style "easy open" version is terrible and you've lost me as a customer once my current stock is gone. I always reused them multiple times, by turning them inside out to thoroughly wash them. Now not only can you not do that without tearing them along the seam, you can barely open them without tearing. There are few replacements that work as well but not only in the interest of sustainability but also because I'm tired of being ripped off by planned obsolescence, I'll have to find a new way to store things I want to keep fresh and dry.
