We used ours to marinate meats before grilling and filling with snacks after opening the original packaging. The bag's stay open design worked well when preparing foods for the freezer, while also laying flat in the freezer without wasting space. They are thicker than other brands so if I use it for storage purposes, they are great as they hardly rip amd if they come with zipper, it lasts a long time before I have to replace it .

I tend to freeze a lot of stuff and I use these bags to put a lot of things in them so they don't go bad in the refrigerator. They close very well and they keep all the food intact and fresh until I need to use them again. Plenty of room for as much as you want to put in there.
