The Ziploc bags feel like a thinner plastic. I don't think the zip closure is any better or worse but I do like the extra grip texture on the top for reopening them.

It is easy to seal the bags. They have several different sizes, you can even find the half gallon ones at warehouse clubs certain times of the year.

We use Ziploc bags regularly to freeze soups, chicken and dumplings, etc but it's always a two person job to try to put the product in the bag.
