The freezer gallons are definitely made from high quality plastic and the stay open design makes it easier to fill the bags. They stay airtight with the design of the seal. Definitely worth buying.

The drawback is the volume of plastic used to make these... Not great for the environment. I use resealable vacuum seal bags which is substantially cheaper and exact for the size you're looking for. Again good product just a bit overpriced and uses too much plastic.

I personally find the brand far superior in quality to others. I love their zippered freezer bags. They are very strong and durable. They work great for food storage and have helped keep "freezer burn" out of the equation. My all time favorite is though is for travel storage. These durable, zippered bags are perfect for me to pack my shampoo, body wash and other HBA products I am worried about dumping. I travel alot but am a minimalist packer so these are perfect to load up and throw in my duffle.

They can be stood on the counter to be filled so you can use both hands. I like that they are microwave safe but are not made with bpa plastics.
