I have purchased 2 packs (3 boxes in each pack) of the Ziploc Easy Open Tab Large Freezer bags - all 6 (yes SIX) boxes have the same issue - the seal rips from the top of the bag when you first try to open it. Without the seal, the bag is.....ummm, fairly useless. Thinking this was a defect in the first box I opened a second box, then a third, fouth and fifth boxes - so far 40 bags/box X 5 boxes, 200 bags have ripped seals. I am not even trying box #6.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ziplock freezer bags are what we buy to store meat.. in our deep freezer. It's our go to brand for freezer bags. Works well by keeping freezer frost out off the meat.. I'd recommend it to everyone needing to store food in the freezer.

I've also found that I'm really happy to use these gallon bags as marinades, for meats that need to either be frozen in their marinade, or defrosted in their marinade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ziploc is my tried and tried, besides my reusable bags. But I have noticed my items in the freezer still get freezer burn. Which could be a freezer problem and not a bag problem. So I didn't dock for this. But I've also noticed more than a few times, the bags will rip across, about a half inch below the seal. I don't know if it's at the seal seam or what, but it's frustrating.

I mean there's a reason that people call this kind of bag Ziploc bags as a generic term. They're the OG and best. I love them, I wish they were easier to clean and reuse and didn't melt quite so easily if they get anywhere near heat but whatever, they're great.
