I use these for EVERYTHING! Probably more than to freeze food! One thing I like to use it for is to slip my large rounded oatmeall/soup/stew bowl inside to reheat or steam whatever in the microwave! Zip it partially, make sure you have moisture in the food or add a touch of fluid/water and nuke it! But not too long, or you'll have a meltdown. Keeps messes to a minimum.

These have been my go to bag for everything since they came on the market. A free sample in the mail won my loyalty. Great for protecting food, papers, books, fabrics, tools, meds, storage, travel, crafts, organizing, gardening. A must have with my large aquarium. The quality of the freezer bags has become terrible. I have more failures that successes. When loading the bag very often the ends of the zipper come apart and the bag splits down the side. Will not work for anything with weight such as a book or tools anymore. The plastic is no longer thick enough to freezer meat on bones. The bones do not have to be sharp to poke a hole. Anything rubbing against a bag containing something hard, does not have to be sharp will put a hole in the bag. Sadly I can no longer give 5 stars or recommend Ziploc freezer bags.

Finally an easy to open freezer bag! I freeze many, MANY items and it gets SO frustrating when you are unable to open the top! I have bad arthritis in both hands so YOU can imagine! These easy ones actually make it a breeze to open and close! All zip bags should be made this way. They seal thoroughly, keep all air out completely, and the perforated top makes it a snap to open. No more fumbling, or getting so frustrated you resort to scissors! LOVE these!

I couldn’t open the bag bc it was sealed too tight! Had my hand band open it and he had trouble too but finally got it unsealed! Every bag was like that.Must have been a bad batch bc we never had that problem before! Wish Sam would sell Zipper closures.

These new bags are poorly made. The tab above the lock tears immediately when you try to open them. I looked at it closely right out of the box and noticed many of them were torn already so the slightest pull would tear them completely. I thought I had a bad box but over the holidays I noticed this issue occurred at parties and homes. Poor poor product.

I understand the need to improve things in our ever changing world but don't fix what isn't broken! Your freezer bags WERE the best on the market. Then you tried to improve what was already a exceptional product. You didn't need 'blue tabs' for opening. They have only created a bigger more glaring problem that you did not have before. Just stick to a quality bag that closes and seals well. Keep a strong ml and be done. Very disappointed! And in that disappointment comes loss of brand allegiance. DON'T FIX WHAT WAS NOT BROKEN IN THE FIRST PLACE

New is not necessarily better. These bags seem thinner even tho they state freezer on them. I'm not sure they will keep foods fresh as long as the "old" version. I had no problem filling the old non "stand and fill" bags buy simply placing them in a large glass or narrow pitcher to fill. I guess time will tell on these, however the quality doesn't seem as good.

I can always count on ziploc for all their products, I buy different sizes because you never know what you will need to store. These are the best bags for storing things in the freezer. I even put soup in them to freeze, that’s how much I trust them.

I have been a loyal customer for many years because of the quality of these bags. Unfortunately due to the new redesign that will end. Not only are the new bags very thin and plastic feeling they do not seal with any reliability. What brought me to finally post this comment, which I never do, is that fact that I just had to clean up marinade from my refrigerator for the 2nd time due to the faulty design of these bags. I can only guess that this new design is more environmentally friendly and likely lest expensive but if Ziploc does not make a change soon it will lose sales.

I buy these constantly. They are great for items in the freezer, for storing cookies and baked goods and for snacks. They seal easily and hold up well. I really like them to store things in the refrigerator too. Sometimes there isn’t room for a bowl, but these will easily squeeze into narrow spaces. I have literally stored everything in them. Soups and stews stay put and if sealed properly, they don’t leak. These are even reusable. Just wash and dry. These are on my Sam’s list a lot, and I love them. The quart size is very handy for smaller items.
