Ziploc gallon bags are always handy to have one hand for food storage and traveling. These feel flimsier than the freezer bags and may not hold up as well, but they're cheaper per bag.

One thing I do mostly is for storing food and leftovers inside so when I was offered to try out this new feature with the stay open design I was excited. I used it for the first time to put pasta inside and then again to marinate my meats for the next day. It forsure holds upright but doesn't stay as wide open as I'd like. It helped make life easier and I'd get it again.

You can see on the bags themselves how to set them up. It will be so much easier to put away leftovers , especially sauces or soups, due to the style of these bags, I am curious to see how they will hold up in a freezer but have nothing but good impressions of this new style!

I have always used ziploc zip up gallon bags for lots of things in my kitchen however the box we have now EVERY single bag has been torn on the sides straight out of the box. You barely touch them and they fall apart. Waste of money. I hope this is not the new quality of their products.

I like to marinate chicken using Ziplock bags. It's always awkward trying to add all the ingredients with one hand while holding to bag open with the other hand. Not anymore!! I not only saved time, but now I don't need any help keeping the bag open when I transfer the chicken to the grill. I will definitely be buying these for my household.

The namesake brand truly does hold up because the "lock" component never breaks and the bag can pretty much hold anything of any size. I usually use the bags to freeze my leftovers and prevent them from getting frostbite. I would say I barely ever, if ever, get frostbite on my food when uses Ziploc.

We love to sous vide meat before throwing in on the grill, but working with raw meat and marinade can be super messy! With the stay open design, I'm able to easily move food from the bowl into the bag during prep.
