I've LOVED drinking Folgers Classic Roast Instant Coffee Crystals for more than 50 years, but my most recent 2 jars are not the same. I bought the 2 jars from two different stores, in the hope that the second one would taste great again. It is terrible.The taste now is almost undrinkable! Did Folgers change the recipe, or is this just a bad batch? Please restore the delicious Folgers Coffee flavor I've loved for more than half a century!

I've never tried instant coffee before, I just got it for a quick cup when I wake up late for work in winter but it's really bitter. But I don't think this was meant to be drank black. I usually just have black coffee in the morning unless I wake up early enough to have Oatmeal I'll add some milk to it. But I'm going to have to have this with milk most definitely. It's doing it's job though so no complaints there.

I want to say thank you, as I received this product free for review. I typically drink 1-2 cups of coffee per day, mostly automatic drip style, but instant coffee is used in a pinch. I enjoy not only the flavor of coffee, but the heady aromas as well. To be thorough, I evaluated this coffee in various ways: aroma of crystals dry, aroma of coffee heated, black, sugar only, sugar and creamer, and with food. Aroma of crystals dry: Opening the bottle for the very first time is always exciting – it’s when you get the best whiff of that beautiful bouquet. Unfortunately, upon opening this product for the first time, the aroma was faint, yet surprisingly it had a distinct cocoa-like scent. Subsequent days upon opening, there was barely any hint of an aroma at all. Aroma of coffee heated: I have to admit, I was extremely surprised that when I poured the boiling water over the crystals, what I smelled most was a hoppy (beer-like) aroma that I don’t associate with coffee. Black coffee: I felt the initial flavor was extremely bitter, but there was that hinting of a cocoa flavor, almost like burnt chocolate. Sugar only: I put quite a bit of sugar in the cup, yet didn’t taste too much of a difference, the bitterness still overwhelmed my senses. Sugar and sweetened creamer: I do like a sweeter coffee, so I added a sweetened French Vanilla creamer to my cup and at first the bitterness of the coffee overpowered all the sweetness I added. Then, interestingly enough, after letting the coffee cool down, my creation had a very smooth vanilla flavor, almost like a melted milkshake consistency, which I enjoyed! With food: I sometimes eat my coffee, that is I pour my coffee, lots of sugar, and lots of milk over plain crackers; it’s something I’ve enjoyed periodically over many years, so I tried it with this coffee and found it to be bland, but personally for me, that is better than bitter. Overall, I feel this product would be a delight for someone who enjoys a coffee with a bitter flavor and a mild cocoa or hoppy aroma, unfortunately, I am not that someone so I’ll stick with drip :-) Thank you for the opportunity to review your product!

We're a Folgers family and enjoy the taste of a good brewed cup of joe. Sometimes, at night when it's cold, or with dessert, we enjoy coffee but prefer decaffeinated. We tried the Folgers Classic Roast Instant Coffee and it just doesn't taste like Folgers. It tastes and smells more like old burnt coffee :-( I was sad that it didn't even have that amazing aroma when we opened it, but that was not a deal breaker for us because we understood that it's instant. This might be doable in a pinch when you're desperate for coffee and you're out, or unable to brew (for example while camping), but I'll stick with the classic brewed Folgers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a person who always brews coffee, I should say this is a downgrade. I guess I’m just spoiled with good brewed coffee. But if you don’t have time and need a quick coffee sip, this would work. The taste is not the best, but it is ok. I’ve tried different brands of instant coffee, and had worse and better, but even a very good instant coffee is not nearly close to a brewed one. So I would say this one is ok. It’s convenient in packets too, I’d use it from time to time to get energy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This instant coffee was pretty good. I made it Dalgona style and regular instant coffee. Both were good. Dolgona did not froth up as much as other instants I have used but tasted okay dressed up with creamer, milk and cinnamon. The instant way tasted fine too. Overall, a decent instant coffee.

I bought this a week ago so that I could knock off a few minutes before I left for anywhere in the morning. I drank a cup at home, later I had a cup of my regular brand. Folgers crystals was leaps and bounds better than my old brand. Great tasting coffee. Better than any brand I've tried. Great job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flavor packed with a punch, aroma was a bit strong. Definitely will repurchase again, the packaging was very welcoming reminding me of needed another dose of coffee! To brew it just need hot water and made instantly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically make my own coffee concentrate. However, I slacked at that recently, so this came in handy. It dissolves best with warm water but only takes just a few seconds, and it's done. That's flavor initially seemed a bit stronger than my typical coffee. I just added a little extra syrup for sweetness. Overall, I like it and will purchase it in the future, as it comes in handy when you're running late or in a pinch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Foldgers Classic Roast Instant coffee smells so good. It is convenient when in a pinch or if traveling. It is not my preferred type of coffee as I can never seem to get the right amount. I find it is hard to dissolve all the way, and im left with bits at the bottom of my cup or floating at the top. However, the taste is good, and it perks you right up.
