This is a great toaster oven. Unfortunately, it lasted only 11 months and needed to be replaced. The process for a free replacement by Breville is very simple and quick. I hope that this one lasts a lot longer. The Cuisinart toaster oven which this one replaced lasted 12 years.

Bought this in 2018 to use during hot summer months, so it was used a little in 2018 and not at all since. Took it out yesterday to use and discovered the FUNCTION knob is not working, it's stuck on TOAST everything else seems to be ok. I hope there's an easy inexpensive fix for this before I junk it.

I LOVED this countertop oven. I live in AZ and it's too hot most of the year to want to turn on the oven. This countertop oven saved energy and worked great, until, it didn't. One night I was heating up a frozen meal and it made a sound like an airplane landing on my roof. Seriously. Scared me to death. Turns out it was the heating element and it totally stopped working. I've been through the "repair" process with Breville on another appliance, and, no thank you. It's costly, time consuming and I ended up with a refurbed appliance that also died shortly after I got it. I want to buy a replacement, but hardly dare to. I referred this product to others, and both of theirs stopped working, too. Such a shame.

This was our second oven with Breville. This is outstanding in all respects. They have given a tremendous amount of thought to the design and features. One of my favorites is the interior light which was a much needed addition. It automatically comes on 30 seconds before the time for cooking is done! Really thoughtful.

Buying this smart oven was the best thing we did in 2020. We were cooking everything in our big gas oven, using lots of expensive gas and heating up the house. Our Breville oven does it all with automatic settings. Food comes out perfectly cooked. It is big and roomy. I can cook a chicken or pie in it. It's also beautiful on our kitchen.

Fantastic is what this gadget is! Only use the big stove oven for large things now. This little guy is a powerhouse of imagination...just think "if it can be done in stove then this can do it to" and with energy savings!! Doesn't have the "Air" feature but that's a work around, purchased an air fryer basket and use the convection setting and let it do it's job. (The Smart Oven Air wasn't on the market locally yet when made my purchase). Great for those open faced cheese sandwiches, French fries, baking muffins, toast..you name it. I defer back to my opening statement...

Overall it is a good oven since the heating element is a quartz rod which can provide more uniformity than a metal stick. But the problem is the location of the fan which causes uneven distribution from one side to the other. Moreover, it is not easy to clean since the heating quartz has a shield. The BIG problem after 4-year non-daily usage is that the control panel failed and it seems somewhere has a loose contact. Tried to fix that but had no success, may need to replace the panel assembly. Such an issue may be due to the design which does not prevent the heat from the panel.

I love this oven. I use it for almost everything, but after 10 years the door gave away. I have to put something in front of it to keep the door closed while baking. It will stay shut while toasting because of the magnet but that limits me. Now I'm looking at replacing it but I'm hesitant because of the prices. If it's going to do this I wonder if I should go with something else.

I've really enjoyed using this toaster oven, it's a huge upgrade from the model I was given as a hand me down previously, but was lovingly used for years. The size of this is about 20% larger, but I had the space for that. I appreciate be able to cook a 12" pizza in this versus heating a normal size oven for such a small dish. I most love the auto rack opening and closing as I have burned myself several times on the old toaster from things shifting or falling out as I had to balance part of the rack outside to remove items, which left it tilting down out of the toaster oven, a recipe for disaster.

Bought January 19, 2019, last night there was a flash and both the light and heating elements both went simultaneously. For the two years of regular use it was only okay. Toasting was so-so. Baking good; pizza reheat and bagel great. The start/stop button was unpredictable. Press: nothing happens, press again, lights and ding indicating it was going to start but didn't, press again nothing - sometimes 4 or 5 presses to get the cycle going. A silly game but this happened every time. Then last night just 3 months out of warranty, complete failure.
