Good service and reliability

Has excellent selection of features, I've used them all The first oven was immediately replaced due to electronically related error displayed, 6 mo from purchase. They never told me what the error was, just automatically said they would replace the unit. Breville stands by their product and service was excellent, had new one in a week. This company is ethical and hasn't watered-down true customer service.

My NEW Favorite Kitchen Appliance!

My only regret after purchasing this oven is I should have done it sooner - like 20 years sooner. This counter top oven does everything our full size oven can do and preheats at least twice as fast. And I no longer need a toaster. Being thrilled is an understatement.

Great for the first two years then the fan started making awful noises

We were pretty satisfied with this oven in the beginning. However, the convection fan started making awful noises after a few years. This is supposed to be one of the better ovens that's why we spent a little more on it. If we had known it would fail so quickly we wouldn't have purchased it.

I am not sure anymore.........................

I had the older model of "Smart Oven Pro" for 11 years without a flicker of trouble....it was just faded and getting on with age.....loved it so much............decided it was time to get a new one...............yikes ! Read all the reviews and was shocked at all the bad comments.....couldn't believe it....but went ahead and purchased a new one...the exact same one, but with some updated features...........NO LCD LIGHT ! ! ! .......read and re-read instructions....pushed all the buttons etc........no light on the LCD.How can I tell if I want to toast bread or heat up a pizza ? Cannot see a thing.................I am so disappointed and sad. I will have to return this gorgeous machine......did not even registered it yet. No more Breville.

This product is fantastic. We use it several times a day and many of the various functions. Better than the product is the company itself, offering great service solutions and great communication with their customers after we wore out our original unit after several years. I'm happy to have the same model replacement and am now a loyal Breville customer!

Poor Quality

Its the oven my wife uses the most. Cooks well and easy to use. Unfortunately we've been thru 2 in four years, they don't last long in our two person household. The door mounts go bad and start grinding like fingers on a chalk board. More importantly, the bake feature goes bad and the oven becomes so loud it sounds like its going to explode. Having problems with one may be an anomaly, having trouble with two in 4 years has us concerned.

Good but design flaws

It's a good oven in that it does what it says it can although in some cases (i.e. toasting) it is too powerful, even when on a lower setting, so I need to have the tray on the bottom shelf and have it on the lightest setting to get normally toasted bread. The problem I have is that I have noticed cockroaches in the LED display. It only takes one to enter before they start multiplying and on closer inspection there are many entry points for them including the dials and grills on the side. It's inevitable in an apartment in Sydney that you find cockroaches in the summer, and they are drawn to applicances, so it was disappointing to see that they could so easily enter the LED display and for their to be no way to get them out. I emailed Breville and their reply was that the warranty was now invalid (because of this issue and not due to age of the oven) and that I'd need to go to a technician who could pull it apart etc. which is costly so essentially it's now become unusable despite it being only a few months old. This is something to consider when buying this oven.

Initially great, but does not last + Curated reviews.

My review keeps getting denied even though this is a legitimate review. I've purchased several of these ovens. None have lasted more than 2-3 years, max. The warranty will only cover 1 year, even when the machine turns out to be defective. The convection fan has gone out on all 3 (or 4?) of the Breville ovens I've owned. While my first several units were Stainless steel, the last unit I purchased was black as I wanted to get something different from all the others I had purchased. I now see they've stopped selling the black- possibly for this reason. The black paint started bubbling and smoking off of the unit.

Great product & Excellent Customer Service!

This is the best, affordable convection toaster oven on the market I believe. I use mine much more than I use my standard oven. It is efficient, a good size, and on convection mode, saves time. The only improvement would be for Breville to redesign the fan mechanism as this seems to be the only weak spot. But Breville's customer service is fantastic and they always take care of their products and customers. I highly recommend this product.

Great oven for the short time it works!

I bought my original oven in 2017, one day the following year exactly at 11 months and two week I turn on the oven and it made a loud alarm sound, the start button turned red, and oven died on the spot. I contacted customer service and luckily under a year you still have your warranty and they made an arrangement for a new one to be send to me. I started using my new oven on Feb 2019 and earlier in 2021 (exactly 2 years) I noticed that my food is burning on one side and uncooked in the middle of the oven. When it worked fine I absolutely loved cooking with my oven but I am beyond disappointed with the quality of this oven, which now I need to replace for the second time in 3 years!
