The door gets incredibly hot that is unsafe for anyone to use it. I understand the heat from the top and around it! But the door to get food out is a danger to have a major and serious burn that will get no or anyone in my family to the hospital! Despite several reviews this company refuses to listen to feedback and improve your products about safety and design.

Early on yet feels just like our previous toaster over. Tried air frying some wings and it was ok. They stuck to the pan and it was difficult to clean. Probably will use an oil pray before doing next time. Categories and settings are clearly marked, which makes it nice. Overall quite satisfied

Previously excellent experiences with Breville products led me to this convection oven and I am sadly disappointed. Quality control is severely lacking in a few critical areas: 1. For a countertop oven, it's certainly pretty and has a “commercial look” in its design but beware: there is little to no NO INSULATION on the top or sides so if you happen to reach across and graze an arm against this thing while it's on, be prepared for 2nd degree burns. Not. Good. I should have dumped it in the trash at that point but considering the substantial cost of the oven, I reluctantly kept it. 2. After just a couple of months normal household use, the control panel started to go wonky. What started out as not displaying with the oven being on, escalated to the weird and annoying BRAP BRAP BRAP of the extraordinarily loud “ready” alarm clicking on and off of the oven or inexplicably turning off in the middle of a bake. It clicks on and off a couple of times a second, flashing it's stupid red start light and beeping even when we're not using it so we now leave it unplugged. It doesn't remember what you were doing last- another annoying fault, so you have to scroll through the menu and reprogram it when it shuts off when you're trying to use it. Now, the oven “works” less than 1/2 the time and sits on my countertop as a symbol of disposable consumer junk that sadly, Breville is making right now.

First, Smart Oven Pro purchase the fan stopped working after 1 year, Second one, the bottom heat plates shattered a little over 1 year after using it.. I am meticulous with cleaning it after each use so I don't understand what the problem is? Breville replaced the first one for free but then after a little over a year with the replacement, the bottom heat plates shattered!! They would not replace this one and I'd either have to pay to repair or buy a new unit. I own almost every single Breville appliance they have but since they won't replace this for me, and the fact this would be going on my THIRD oven in less than 3 years, I can't keep buying a new oven every <2 years! When it works, it does work great for my needs which is why I am so disappointed! Also, some things I'd like to note: No matter how much I carefully (non-abrasively) cleaned this thing per their instructions, that beautiful shiny black interior finish when you first get it disappears after a couple months use. The cheap materials it's made of scratches VERY easily. Certain cleaning products specifically made for ovens and grease will actually fade parts of the stainless steel and the drip tray. I have a very serious concern with the "Smart Pro" Breville oven I own!! I am VERY concerned about potential problems with all Breville model ovens as well. I purchased a former model of this oven. I was very pleased and influenced several people that purchased "Breville" ovens. Recently when I cleaned the oven's interior what appear to be paint peeled off the oven's walls. My cleaning method is as follows. While the oven is room temperature I use a cleaning pad safe for nonstick cookware and a small drop of "Dawn" dish detergent to clean the interior of the oven. I'm shocked that the interior of the oven is peeling off and if I continue to use the oven the paint will fall off the walls and land on my food.

The oven so far works well. Fit and finish seem ok though the unit is a decidedly lighter weight cheaper feel than some other ultra high end brands. The speed at which this unit heats up is its strong point. Crumb tray is very convenient and nice looking.

This was a replacement for our original which had a chronic system fault at high temperatures. To their credit, Breville replaced it efficiently. New one works well. The only suggestion would be for a bit more space between the lower pull out tray and the lower heat element It is high quality appliance

We use this everyday! Can't live without it.

I enjoy every feature of this toaster oven, the menu choices, the light inside, the size of the cooking area, the quality materials, and the little beep when the selected temperature is reached or when the food is ready. I use it every day and not just for toasting.

Device is satisfactory. Functions easy to understand, perform well. Burned twice by hot oven door retrieving food from oven. Got it now. Rating: 4 Stars
