Doesn't get to temp, but great customer service

The oven wouldn't get to temperature reliably - I'd set it to 350 and sometimes it would get to 350 before counting down, but most of the time it gets to 200 and starts counting down. I called customer support and they sent a replacement (amazing customer service!), which was great, however, though the new one is much better, it's still not reliable. Now it might reach 350 eventually, but starts counting down much too early, and it has trouble with the higher temperatures - 400 to 450.

Great oven, need dedicated electrical

I just received my replacement oven. Love the oven, but gave it 3 stars because my first one blew out (EO5 on LED) because I had it on a power cord with one other appliance, a toaster. It was still under warranty, so I received a replacement. CS says the problem was that I used a power cord and the oven should have a dedicated circuit. I'm hopeful the oven will work being the only appliance plugged into the outlet and not using other outlets along the wall when using the oven. Breville needs to work on the electrical issues.

Faulty chip!!

First one died with Er05. Returned was sent a new one. Second one they sent has an Er05 message again. It is past my warranty so nothing can be done. I am frustrated it has only been just over a year and you expect products to last longer than that. I am not the only one many reviews have the same problem, aparantly a faulty chip. That said customer service is great. Not sure I would buy this brand again.

Good while it lasts.

I've owned this oven along with the previous version and both failed for the same reason. The convection fan begins to get louder and louder until it eventually dies or is just unbearably loud. It's not serviceable easily and it's easier just to replace the oven. Wish they lasted longer than 2-3 years.

This is my second Breville Toaster Oven which I really like. However, I was disappointed to see that the black baking pan was the same as previously and that pan finish became very crackled, not smooth and not usuable. I would appreciate a better pan with a better more lasting finish.

Very handy, works great, looks good. Love that you can put in the exact toast level digitally and don't have to rely on one of those imprecise dials. We use it for all kinds of smaller baking jobs. Heats up faster and uses less energy than the big oven. We did have a problem with the display not working after less than one year, but the company sent a replacement immediately, so pretty happy right now.

It is an absolutely great product when it works. I purchased this oven 18 months ago and it has now completely stopped working. It was used at most once a week and I consider this a premature product failure for a theoretically upper end product such as Breville. If it was still working, I would have given it a five star rating. Buyer beware, I'm not the only one.
