My '99 Honda Valkyrie motorcycle, '02 BMW 1150GS motorbike, '91 Lexus LS400 and '04 Dodge 3500 diesel, all use Rotella synthetic. It is so nice to keep one oil for everything and still find that excellent cold weather starting and hot summer oil pressures are still great. I recommend this product without reservation.

I am using this in my new John Deere tractor. It flows well in winter making cold starts easy. It’s is resistant to thermal breakdown as I have had this oil in my tractor long enough to see oil consumption is virtually non existent. You spend. Lot of money for a diesel so you want to make darn sure it hold up to hard use can throw at it; even with that, the oil has not changed color. Durability and longevity is what I want in my investment and Rotella will take me there!

I had read around on the forums about this oil being used in motorcycles sominthought I'd try it out. It is JASO approved which means its good for wet clutches. This is a full synthetic and it only ran me $17(on sale) for 4 quarts! Great deal!!! Works great, and I've noticed a much smoother ride and better shifting since the change. If its made for diesels, I know it can handle my CBR600RR

I have been using this oil in my 1998 Honda F6 Valkyrie Tourer for 6 years now, and have had no issues with clutch operation. Even at full throttle with the big 6 cylinder engine, no clutch slippage. Also, the notorious Valkyrie top gear whine was a lot quieter immediately after the first oil change. It's also priced a lot cheaper than the competing oils, a nice added bonus. I don't hesitate to change the oil when I should, when the price is about half of other high end or OEM oils. It's available at many local retailers, so, it's easy to obtain. I wish it was available in other weights like 5W20. I would use it my 2010 F150 5.4L if I could, because it's really not that much more expensive than conventional oil.

This is a truly excellent oil that has the ratings and approvals for all my vehicles, gasoline, diesel, air and liquid cooled. Rotella T6 is the only oil I buy for my cars, trucks, tractors, ATV's, UTV's, ZTR's, gasoline and diesel powered generators, a power washer, log splitter and other small gasoline, air cooled engines, basically everything except 2-stroke gasoline engines. I love only having to buy one engine oil.

Started using Shell 5w40 T-6 in my Cummins 2 years year round. Very happy with it. Even in -30 C the engine starts fairly easy and the gauge shows oil pressure right away. Also use the Shell 15w40 in my motorcycles with the wet clutch . This oil has the JASO MA rating for wet clutch applications to prevent the clutch from slipping. Oil with the JASO-MA does not have the additive which makes the oil extra slippery for engine oil applications. I have also used the 15w40 in my vehicle engines in the summer. Very happy with the result.

I use this oil in my car's GDI engine and I know several people who love using it in their high performance Subaru engines like that of the STi, WRX, and Forester XT. It just doesn't shear like other 5W-30 oils often do. I am very happy that Shell offers this product but it is very difficult to find in stores and usually online retailers offer it at a more premium price. I hope it is made more commonly available in the future!

If you idle your diesel engine much this is your oil. It won't break down like a non synthetic oil and thin out. My 6.7L Cummins engine starts much easier in cold weather. It rolls over twice as easy. It snaps right off and does not drag even at zero degrees outside. It is going to help my batteries last much longer and reduce engine wear at start up. I do a oil and filter change every 5000 miles. My engine has 215,000 miles on it.

I did experience some slippage of gear / I guess my bike got spoiled by $20 -$35 a quart.. For 1/4 the price - I now can afford Shell Premium Gas prices... I use to drive 20+ miles just to save a $1 a gallon for gas. (Also, enjoyed the ride to finding these unknown -gas stations, but now that more bikers are getting killed from distracted drives - I stay off the road during heavy traffic)

Used Rotella T6 in an 2004 F-150 with 200,000+ miles that was having camshaft phaser issues. The semi-sythetic 5W20 recommended oil would not hold 20 psi at the camshaft. Went to full sythetic T6 - 5W40 oil and the phasers worked fine. Used this oil through a full winter with temps down to -20. Pick-up started fine all winter. Kept it another 12,000 miles and traded it the next summer. Never had another issue with oil pressure. Also use it in my diesel side by side. 5W40 is recommended in that utility vehicle for all temperature so it works year round.
