Excellent product.

The Turbo Diesel Register did an in depth analysis of a wide range of died engine oils, including some very pricey synthetics. I had just purchased my first diesel,a '02 Dodge 24valve Cummins, and was researching what oil to use. I run Amsoil products in my Harley and was surprised to find that the Rotella T ranked in the top 5 of this analysis. It can be viewed on the Geno'garage website /Tech information. I change my oil at 10k mile intervals and I am sure if I had it tested, it could go further. Great product.

06 Dodge 5.9 Cummings

I bought this truck almost 5 years ago it had 85,000 miles on it when I bought it it now has 123,000 and I have been using Rotella 15/40 - T-4 and have always change my oil at around 5,000 miles and i see most people don’t change their oil until 7,500 or more it’s been awesome I love the oil and the protection that it has, But I have got a question about the T-5 will it harm my engine if I wanna switch to synthetic T-5 or would I be better off staying with T-4 ?????

180000 miles still going

I've been changing oil every 5000 miles using Shell Rotella since 2000 in my Ford 7.3 diesel and am very satisfied with this oil. Have not had any oil related problems what ever. Pulled bumper and 5th wheel trailers through Colorado mountains: a horse trailer up steep rocky roads in Missouri. This truck is used hard, Rotella is my oil.

Long Engine Life

I have been running Rotella 15W-40 in my Mercedes 300 Turbodiesel for years. Unlike what the instructions say about a 5,000mi oil change, I change my oil every 3,000mi. The car now has 528,000mi on it without overhaul yet! I also use Rotella 15W-40 in a pickup with a 454 engine pulling a 11,000lb chorus trailer.

Versatility

Although this product has many modern applications, I use Rotella 15W-40 and 10W-30 in all my antique tractors that call for 30 and 40 weight oil. It's much better than what they've been run on for the bulk of their life and has no doubt extended the lives of their old engines.

The upgrade from 15w-40 T3 to T4 is night and day

My 1994 F350 7.3L with 270k seemed to idle a little rougher running T3 but when I took the leap on running T4 I couldn’t be happier. My diesel runs like a brand new truck and no more leaking! My truck has been brought to a new level with Shell Rotella T4 15w-40 ! Very excited to see how she runs the next 3 to 4k miles ! Definitely an eye opening experience in my journey with this truck .

Great Oil for my LML Duramax

I was concerned when I heard shell discontinued production of Triple Protection Rotella. This is my second oil change with this oil and I run it for 5000-7000 miles. UOA show great additive packs and the wear metals in my samples have decreased since the change to T4. Great oil and a great company. I've been using Rotella since the Rotella-T days.

Good stuff

I use this twice a year changing out all my motorcycles oil. Never had a problem, last as long if not longer then the more expensive motorcycle oils for tappets. I can tell I need a change when the gear dogs click louder than normal. I get about 2500 miles out of a change in my old air cooled shared sump bikes. I'm sure I could go longer, oil still looks nice when I drain it. I just prefer to change it at manufacturer intervals. I then use the used oil in my mowers for a half season of more. Have one mower that's been going strong for 11 years, still doesn't smoke and starts every time. Wouldn't trust anything else in my old fleet of tappet head bikes.

High Quality at Best Price

I have been using this high quality oil in my Ford Turbocharged F250 Diesel for years. My pickup requires 14 qts of 15W40 motor oil so using one 2.5 gal bottle along with a 1 gal bottle (also bought at Walmart) reaches the required 14 qt capacity. Through looking at local stores on online, Walmart provided the best price.

quieter valve train, end seal oil seepage abated

My 1979 Volvo 244 DL with 231000 km has been treated to Shell Rotella T4 10W30 since Sept. 7, 2019, odometer at 215477. The overhead cam/valve sound is quieter at 3000 R.P.M. on the 400 series highways at 100 km/h. The rear crankshaft oil seal has stopped seeping oil this year. I used to use synthetic oil. I can experience that Shell Rotella T4 10W30 oil really agrees with the 2.1 L, B21 A naturally aspirated gasoline engine. These are long-lived engines, and anything I can do to prolong its life is appreciated. Thanks, Shell engineers, for the extra protection of Z.D.D.P. for the camshaft lobes!
