[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently introduced my son to JRR Tolkien, so this is perfect! One of his favorite Lego styles to build are the helmets, and what's better than Sauron? Even though this is an awesome adult collectible, my 9-year-old had no trouble building it without help. It's lightweight, so we might glue it to make sure it stays perfect. The minifigure with The One Ring is our favorite part—super cool detail.

I'm a huge LOTR fan and was pumped when this came out to put alongside Vader. Two of the most evil villains in pop culture side by side was enough to lure me in. It took about 2 hours and was an enjoyable build. My favorite part is probably the minifig and the rubber helmet for him. I will say the spikes are super tall and nice size for a helmet.

This one is especially awesome because we love LOTR! We were ecstatic to get this set and have been actively working on getting it together. It's also really cool that it comes with a Sauron figure! Everything is high quality as always, and easy to follow instructions! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sauron helmet set is an outstanding display piece, clever use of angles and elements to really capture the Dark Lord's menacing image. Shaping feels precise, giving it a sharp, intimidating look straight out of the source material. The only modification I made was shortening the two spikes on the helmet. While I'm sure their original length was accurate, trimming them slightly gives the helmet a cleaner and more balanced aesthetic in my opinion. The included Sauron minifigure is phenomenal and pairs beautifully with the build, definitely a highlight of the set. Overall I have no complaints at all. Easy 5/5.

The build was very tedious at some points I wont like and the abundance of grey pieces does through one off (can't really complain since its a helmet) but the set overall is by far the best in the 'helmet" Lego series. It's quite mind boggling that the very first non-Star Wars/Marvel Icon Helmet set beats the others out of the park. The inclusion of the Sauron minifigure alone is what sells the set too and I think that should become the standard from here on out! Once again Lego Lord of The Rings hits a homerun! Lego PLS PLS PLS MAKE A GRIEVOUS HELMET ICON SET!!!!!!

I have had my eye on this piece since it was announced. I love Lord of the Rings and this piece is perfect decoration for a fan like me. I wasn't looking for a playset but a conversation piece. Lego you must make more of these Lego busts, they perfectly reach adults who want a decorative piece.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Lord of the Rings fan, I adore this Lego set. The box even looks cool! Assembly is fun and the included instruction booklet is very well thought out. It goes step-by-step and there are numbered bags which keeps everything organized and manageable. As far as the design of Sauron's helmet, I was amazed to see how many curves and little details there are. Lego sets have come so far compared to what we had as kids. As it went together, it became more and more stable and the parts that snap together in sections can handle the pressure of assembly. I think that the attachment points are extremely clever too, they hinge on each other and make it easy to align the sections of the helmet for the finished look. It is just so cool. I'm putting in on a shelf above my gaming computer desk. This set would be a great gift for any Lego/Lord of the rings fan.

Good straight forward build. If your used to doing other helmet builds, this falls in line with those others. The Sauron minifigure is nice with the mini ring of power.

This was such a fun build! The profile and silhouette look fantastic, and the inclusion of the Sauron minifig is such a great bonus. That should be standard with all of these types of sets!

Great price. Build difficulty 4/10. Very frustrating when putting it together as it does fall apart when trying to snap certain pieces into place. But overall it's a nice set %26 definite for any LOTR fan.
