So much potential - not realized yet

I was waiting for a screenless wearable from Garmin - to tie into the Garmin ecosystem. The Cirqa accomplishes much of this, but there are some significant issues. The price, size and general feature set is good. What is lacking is the detection ad recording of activities. When I cycle, I use a Garmin Edge 1040 bike computer. The Cirqa detects and records about 50% of the rides on the Edge 1040. The rides are either not detected or only portions of rides are recorded. I also use a Whoop, and the Whoop is far better at detecting and recording rides, runs, and other events. With better auto-detection, the Cirqa would be a clear winner. Get going Garmin!

Its okay... charging cable is annoying

I gave up my Whoop for the CIRQA and am generally satisfied. Honestly, the battery doesn't last as long as the Whoop and the proprietary charger is annoying as the charging cable is too short and never where I need it. I have to buy two more cables (one for travel and one for my desk). I can't believe a USB c charging port wouldn't suffice. I do like the fact there is not a "membership" fee like Whoop.

It's OK

It's OK. I'll caveat what I'm about to say by stating I'm still getting used to going screenless. I'm in the Garmin ecosystem. I currently wear a Epix2pro, a Fenix 6 for years before that, and I also currently use a Garmin scale, bike computer, etc… For my use case, I wanted a screen-less wearable so I could wear my mechanical watches more. The Cirqa seemed like the perfect answer and it still kind of is but mine has one flaw which is a bit frustrating. For me, the Cirqa on multiple occasions has not tracked my sleep at all. It tracked my HR throughout the night but not my sleep. During a typical week, it's been doing that 2-3 days out of the week. That obviously affects every other stat, so that's something I hope Garmin fixes soon.

A solution looking for an question

Good technology, good implementation, still debating the best use for it. I have a FR 970, that is a great tool for my running, cycling, other exercising. I wanted to be less dependant from it and go back to wearing regular watches and keep tracking my vitals. This was the primary use for the Cirqa. Does it worth the cost? Maybe. Using Cirqa during my running or cycling is not an option: I need to monitor my activity while doing it and a screen is essential. Garmin may have other otions for its use in the future, hopefully.

LOSER

This device is treacherous. Operating it is difficult at best and Garmin support is terrible. Currently, I'm going to pursue sending it back. I was using it recently and while riding my heart rate kept going blank and I would have to reconnect and restart the device.

Need improvement

Quite good and comfy to used for all day long But it more great if you add other charging option like whoop which can be wireless charging so we dont need to put off the cirqa band from our hand. Because i heard from online review, cirqa batteries was not durable. I think you should update its firmware to maximized its battery life

Needs work

Battery life a lot less than I thought it would be, I really hope the software gets some new updates soon, it seems there are a lot of kinks to work out. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt right now because this is a new line but I hope the software updates smooth out some of the features

I like it when it actually works…

I like most of its features, particularly the sleep and stress tracking. But it has skipped tracking my sleep once or twice for no apparent reason, refused to save several workouts, and sometimes refuses to sync with my phone. Additionally, the info the app shows me on the home page (like my body battery score and readiness score) is often different from what it tells me on the actually page for the metric, so I'm not sure which score is correct. Is my readiness 35 or 70 today? Who knows. I realize that's more about the app than the cirqa itself, but it's still a part of the user experience of owning a cirqa and kind of defeats the purpose of owning it if I'm getting conflicting info. In short, this thing has potential but still needs a lot of work.

Cirqa fills a gap in the Garmin ecosystem

The Garmin Cirqa fills a gap that some of us have in our Garmin ecosystem and fits some use cases. For me, sometimes I want to wear a normal watch for some reason and still want my health data and sleep monitored, or I am working on something physical that puts my forerunner at risk of damage. Now I can wear the Cirqa on my dominant wrist and not worry about damaging my 970 or have to only wear my Garmin watch and not the rest of my cool watches. Negatives - The thickness is off putting and it is actually less comfortable than wearing your full sized Garmin watch. The auto detection for exercise is almost never recording at the right time. I am not sure if it is delaying the start or not. It accurately detected cycling and hiking but started about 15 minutes into the activity. The band collects sweat and seems to be too tight in warm conditions if it was snug when you started, due to the elasticity. I have since swapped out the band for a non garmin silicone band to make the whole watch less obtrusive, as out of the box, it is too thick and ugly. I have found the Cirqa to be closer to a Garmin HR strap for BPM when I wore all three devices to test them out on the trainer. The Circa also seems to have better connectivity to my 1040 cycling computer for broadcast heartrate, I have had the 970 disconnect on a ride for no reason and not reconnect, where the Cirqa stays connected so far tested on a 7 hour ride. Overall, I am planning to keep the Cirqa as it fills the gap of a fitbit with broadcast HR and I wear it 24x7.

no health stats while on remote backpack trip

generally like the cirqa when I can read the data, but the app seems to need to access the internet to get data off the band. I only intend to use it without sharing on the internet. Goal is to monitor my spo2, heart rate and calorie burn etc. The battery also didn't seem to last more than a couple days while elk hunting around 9800ft elevation in CO last week. Band died at 12:30pm on my most strenuous day, which was disappointing. Couldn't get readings until in decent LTE coverage on the way home.
