Disappointing with the activities

I loved the idea of no screen and being able to wear a real watch. This product tracks sleep very well. Disappointing with the activities that need to be picked up automatically. Single-button management is inefficient, and even when pressed properly, it does not track activity well. Knowing that Garmin is at the top of their game with tracking, I am hoping to they will evolve and make it better.

Not a Smart Watch Substitute

I thought I would try the CIRQA Smart Band as a possible replacement for my old Garmin Epix Gen 2 watch. It is not that i don't like my watch, its just that I have other nice watches that I like to wear but am reluctant to do so because I, admittedly, am probably over addicted to the constant stream of info that I receive from my Garmin watch. The CIRQA Smart Band seemed like a perfect solution...I could wear my nice watches and the CIRQA and still receive all the stats that are important to me. My exercise routine consists mainly of walking indoor, walking outdoor, strength training, indoor rowing and treadmill running. Of those exercises, the only one that my CIRQA produced reasonable accurate training info was the strength training - mainly since it doesn't involve measuring distances. I know that the CIRQA does not have GPS so it is impossible for it to measure distance without you phone. The problem is that without measuring distances on those type of exercises, it does not produce reliable distance or calorie count info (those are the two most important stats for me). So, I continue to use the Garmin watch when exercising and the CIRQA only when I am not wearing my Garmin watch and just want to continue having steps, calories, heart rate, sleep stats, etc. info available. I found it to be accurate for that type of information. You just have to remember to go thru the steps to change your primary device from watch to CIRQA and vice versa ( a bit annoying). In conclusion, the CIRQA is a good device to provide supplemental info when you do not want to wear a smart watch, but it is not a substitute for a good smart watch. PS. I just ordered the new Fenix 9 Pro so I may not be wearing my other dress watches much...at least until the newness wears off.

Bye bye Whoop! Hello Garmin

I bought this to switch out my Whoop of 4 years. So far, it's been amazing. It's spot on with my whoop when it comes to heart rate, and also checks out with my stats when I'm at the hospital. I love the no monthly fee! And it has more in depth features - you get a lot more data with your sleep stats and your work out stats. I switched to a bicep band, and i forget I'm even wearing it. The only downside is needing to take it off every few days to charge it. I needed to buy a usbC to usbA adapter to plug it into a wall jack.

What I expected so far

It looks nice and is comfortable to wear all day and night. Bought as a way to not always have to wear my Garmin watch and it does just that. Not having an altimeter in it seems really cheap to me, the unavailability of bands whether it be wrist or bicep is unacceptable these days. There is no way the battery will ever last 10 days, it's below 20% in 3. Overall happy with it other than the battery life

Garmin Cirqa early impressions

Pros: can wear a mechanical watch while still collecting all Garmin metrics; comfortable and light weight. Good to have a biceps band option; button to start/stop activities and alarms; reasonably priced. Does everything I expected. Cons: software is still very buggy; band attachment method is not well-engineered - it's too fidgety. Module is larger than competition. Garmin sleep tracking algorithm could be better (this is true across Garmin devices). I expect the software bugs will be resolved with time. 2nd gen Cirqa should consider a different way to attach band as well as reducing the module size.

Great but struggle with the app

I think cirqa is great but the app could me much more user friendly, even for garmin's benefit it should be much easier to read. After some weeks I somewhat understand it better but I do question some of the thought processes behind the app creation. Putting in a simple alarm is so complicated.

Missed opp

Battery life is way lower than advertised. 3-4 days. Software ok, not great. It's a practical tool for it doesn't feel that's it was deeply cared for and engineered more hastily put together. Hopefully second gen would correct some pretty significant flaws. Thank

Comodo y practico

Compact but dissappointing...

Purchased and used for the past month, love the fact that it has a smaller footprint and no screen as compared to my fenix. However, there is a big drop off in measurement accuracy, especially with the HRV readings. After doing some reading it appears that the hardware is on the inferior side. The only way to get similar HRV readings is with a armband strap, that is currently backordered through garmin for months.

I love that its not tied to a subscription after p

So far I think its pretty cool. I have had it longer than 7 days and my HRV still won't load. The sleep score seems pretty relevant and I enjoy the body battery and workout meters. Not sure how accurate all the metrics are yet, but it seems to be useful and encouraging to be healither. Its comfortable and looks simple. Its not flashy or ugly. I love that its not tied to a subscription after purchase.
