[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very pretty doll, the dress is a bright red and she has holly earrings in a gold tone. Although, I will say that the doll could have been more "holiday." A sparkly dress, or maybe something with sequence, somthing that would catch the eye would have been perfect. I will also add that the hair style is boring, the dolls (I received the brown tone doll) head seemed narrow. The small detail of gold sparkly eyeshadow was adorable. In all, the doll is pretty, but could have been so much more if time was taking in designing her.

Ours is a brunette with perfectly coiffed long hair. She dazzles in a strapless red satin gown adorned with a jumbo bow at the waist. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another very pretty holiday doll by Mattel! The box she comes in is also very nice if you'd like to keep her inside for display. I try to get my granddaughter the holiday Barbie's each year for her to collect and am always impressed with them. She found this year's version kind of plain and prefers last year's in the gold dress better. She said their hair was nicer. This doll does come with messy hair right out of the box but I think that is common for long haired dolls, especially due to the way the hair is held in place by the packaging. She doesn't mind too much though because it gives her an excuse to style this doll's hair right away. This doll's satiny red dress with the attached big red bow is eye-catching and is a very appropriate color for the holidays. This doll also wears matching red heels, and I believe we have seen the same style on other dolls. Her holly leaf earrings are unique though and are a style I have not seen on other holiday dolls. The doll's hair is left long and loose, with the front ends pulled back from her face and attached underneath. It is a plain style and unlike the elaborately styled hair of holiday dolls from the past. Choosing to keep her hair and dress plain makes these dolls cheaper to manufacturer and easier to produce, but these current runs of the holiday series of dolls does lack the same magic of the past ones and makes them less must-have. Other than her deliberate unadorned look, she is still a very nice doll to.add to a holiday collection. My daughter in law usually puts a small tree up in my granddaughters bedroom. A holiday Barbie is always placed on top as a tree topper, so this one is in contention for that coveted spot.
