My old razors used to leave razor burn or would easily cut me but this is the opposite. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a new razor.

I honestly can't say if the exfoliating bar is doing anything but I'm left with a close shave and no irritation. I like the hefty weight of the razor and also the included stand.
