I get an extremely close shave that does not leave you feeling irritated. I no longer have that razor burned feeling after shaving as I have felt for years. The handle is comprised of metal with rubber ridges on top and bottom providing a very comfortable grip. The metal circular indentation near the razor head gives a nice placement for my thumb while shaving. I love the exfoliating bar and 2D flexdisc, which contours to my face and results in a comfortable clean shave with each stroke. The magnetic stand is also a great feature, but the magnet is a bit weak.

I get a good close shave and less irritation. Easy to change out the blades, too. I like the little magnetic stand so that the razor is always right where I leave it. Great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm quite picky when it comes to my razors as I need a smooth shave and protection on my neck. This razor does just that—close, smooth shave with a nice feeling afterwards. No knicks. The razor glides easily and cuts through no problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best razor i have ever used. Im not over exaggerating my statement either. I have used other gillette razors and they worked well but not like this one. The way the head moves allows it to glide smoothly across my skin especially on my neck near my adams apple. It has the closest cut and causes no pulling or catches on where my hair grows different directions. The single blade on the back of it, for precision shaving, is very sharp and smooth as well. Other razors i have used tended to leave my face a bit dry and i would get a spot of flakey skin after using them. Since i have used this that issues has stopped completely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is nice that the packaging is made with recycled materials and that it is recyclable, but the amount of packaging included is ridiculous. It took me forever to get everything out of the box and I was then left with a huge pile of cardboard. The razor itself is quite nice but no improvement over my Fusion razor. I got a smooth shave but noticed some razor burn on my neck. I don't have room in my bathroom for the stand, but it is a nice feature.

I didn't try without, but I'm sure that you can use without any shaving cream and it'll work just fine with water. Although the stand comes in handy, I didn't really use it.
