This stood out to me because when you lay a wet razor down on the counter (or wherever) the section with the exfoliating bar does not “melt” all over the counter. This set itself comes with the razor, the stand and two cartridges. The razor gives me a smooth shave and leaves no hair or razor burn behind. Definite fan of this one!

Gillette is such a great brand and this razor is one their better additions to that brand. It has a good weight to it and maneuvers perfectly over my face as I shave! The blades are more expensive than other Gillette blades but its the top of the range, so its to be expected. The razor is a good design but it does not shave close enough and leaves patches. Let me explain. The top and bottom pads are raised way higher than the blades themselves which in my opinion is the reason for the bad performance.

The durability of the razor seems durable, it has a flexible head and you can feel the exfoliating bar on the razor doing its job, I had less razor burn than my normal razor. I didn't really notice a scent of any kind. I definitely recommend this razor, i think with any razor though it's the purchasing of the new blades that is always unreasonable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this razor for the first time, Gillette taught me the value added of buying a quality razor compared to a generic one. I used to always use the bag of value razors that tend to be cheaper and go “further” or so I taught. I could feel the difference from the first shave using Gillette's exfoliating bar razor, smoother, sharper, and not having to go back through the same spot more than once. Also, when it's time to replace it, it's more convenient to just switch the top part of the razor with a new head and less costly than the first time when you have to invest to buy the handle, which also comes with this razor stands that I have to admit makes a razor look cool and almost part of my bathroom decoration.

I decided to give this razor the good ol college try and was surprised. It was super smooth and didn't irritate my skin. It was super sturdy and felt really nice in my hand. The shave was super tight and cleaned up the beard very well, and no redness or bumps!
