Everything in this is heavy and sturdy. The blades shave smooth and close. My skin felt great after the shave and there was no razor burn at all!

I have tried several different razors and have not really found one that I really like. I tried this one and so far so good. I will get another one when it is time to. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this razor for the first time, Gillette taught me the value added of buying a quality razor compared to a generic one. I used to always use the bag of value razors that tend to be cheaper and go “further” or so I taught. I could feel the difference from the first shave using Gillette's exfoliating bar razor, smoother, sharper, and not having to go back through the same spot more than once. Also, when it's time to replace it, it's more convenient to just switch the top part of the razor with a new head and less costly than the first time when you have to invest to buy the handle, which also comes with this razor stands that I have to admit makes a razor look cool and almost part of my bathroom decoration.

These are just what I needed in my life and is something I don't mind paying for. The shave is sharp but the razors are smooth. My official new razor is the Gillette razor.
