These razors have like a soap around the blade and keeps it soapy while I shave my face. It also makes it feel better than just using water.

I have a thick beard and it went right thru my 2 day stubble. Handle is easy to hold and the blade glides nice around your neck and jaw area. Very smooth shave with no razor burn. Razor handle is backed by a lifetime warranty.

It gives a close, clean, smooth shave without any irritation to the skin. The exfoliating bar is an added bonus and takes some of the work off of the razor. The razor also pivots good which helps with the close shave and no cuts. It leaves the skin feeling clean and soft.

The box, the packing, the weighted magnetic base, and the overall look is an A+ for me. However, for my face type, The exfoliating bar isn't all that comfortable. I prefer a stand alone lubicration bar. The exfoliating bar seems to remove lubrication for subsequent passes.

The five blade setup cut well with no irritation or skin damage. I liked the added side flex action of the 2d flexdisc in addition to the back movement of the blade head. I'm not sure if the exfoliating bar did much more than my usual face wash before my shave takes care of. The stainless design with heavy use of rubber grips feels nice and sturdy in the hand and looks nice, but is subject to water spots when it dries. The stand is a good addition, as I'd much rather use that than set the razor down on something to dry. Definitely a razor that I'd recommend.

I love how premium it is and feels, as it has a nice weight to it and gives me a clean, fresh shave everything time. The exfoliating bar is something I've never seen before in a razor, and I'm very impressed with it. I like how clean my face feels after using this razor, and the fact that the razor lasts up to 5 years is amazing. I highly recommend this Gillette razor to anyone looking for a high quality, premium razor.

I've happily used Gillette products for decades starting with Blue Blades. Lately I have been quite happy iwht the newer item s. HOWEVER, when I bought refills they now longer fit on my handle. lTurns out the company introduced a new product with a lightly changed handle design, so their new bardes will not fit on the older handle. I can think o now reason for them to do this; unless they hope we'll buy the wrong blades and then have to go back and buy the rights ons--they make an extra sale.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first razer I have ever used with a head as flexible as this. Not only does the head move up and down like normal razors but it also moves side so side making this really flexible to reach difficult areas! I like the weight of the razor itself, not too light and not too heavy, it has a balanced feel. The magnetic stand is also a neat feature as I no longer have to rest my razer on bathroom sink or in the cupboard. As for the cutting capability, I must say that it usually does a neat job with just the first pass, if I have to do a second pass, its just for a couple hairs mixed. No need for a third pass like many other razers I have used. Its a bit pricey to be honest, as expected from Gillette products, but the quality of the cartridge blades and longevity of their sharpness is worth it in my opinion. If you're looking for a new type of shaver to save you time when shaving, no nicks or ingrown hairs left after shaving, this one is worth a try.
