I do not remember ever having so much trouble taking a doll off the box carton. This doll had her hair sewn on - not just a small plastic twist. I had to use scissors and my daughters were getting very impatient. It should not take more than a few minutes to open a box and have a child start playing. But when you have to track down scissors, it gets frustrating and that is not good for anyone. Overlooking that detail, the bright red satin dress is prettier in person. Soft fabric and a big bow in front adds a girly touch. The doll is still nice and durable plastic. My kids loved the red nail polish on the hands. It is a small detail but very nicely done. Bendable limbs are great especially when removing clothes. The red shoes stayed in place, which was a great surprise. My kids do like this doll and have played with it a lot over the last few weeks. I like that the she is a bit darker skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every year, my 7-year-old daughter cannot wait to receive her Holiday Barbie from Santa, so I am saving this doll to put under the tree for her on Christmas morning. I carefully inspected the doll in the packaging at home to make sure she was in pristine condition, and she is stunning. Three standout characteristics make this edition extra special: The Gown: The rich, festive red fabric features an elegant sweetheart neckline and a dramatic statement bow that creates a gorgeous silhouette. Hair & Makeup: Her glamorous Hollywood curls arrived styled neatly in the box, paired with festive, vibrant red holiday lipstick. Accessories & Presentation: The sparkling holly earrings and matching heels add a charming holiday sparkle, and the collector box and included display stand make it easy for her to showcase them in her bedroom proudly. The quality and craftsmanship are superb, and I cannot wait to see her face light up on Christmas morning when Santa delivers it!
