It’s a more breathable material like a wind breaker. . Would be good for any outing . Very comfy, there super cute and durable if you were to play sports in them. They have snaps going down the side of the pant you can open up.. my son loves them.

They are thick enough to keep warm, but also a quick dry material. The band stretch's as needed. We really like that they have a cinched ankle, but it's not constricting (it follows the line of the pant leg and doesn't go in too much). The buttons on the sides are strong and don't come undone as he's running about. They launder well and have maintained their shape (the buttons have also maintained their strength). These have been very handy for sports that require quick changes without taking off his shoes (wrestling).
