[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice razor that leaves my face feeling smooth. I have always used Gillette razors and this one has been my favorite so far. Not all razors are the same and you will not regret giving this razor a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must readily admit that I'm a bit of a shaving snob and it has taken me years to perfect my shaving routine, from the actual products used to the overall process. So, needless to say, I'm always apprehensive of trying something new. I gave up cartridge razors years ago, as the results were always subpar and it simply was not worth it. I can honestly state, however, that this is the most effective and most comfortable cartridge razor that I have ever used. A lot of it has to do with using the right shaving products (pre-shave, cream, oil, after-shave, etc.) for you, so your results will be dependent upon finding the right match for yourself. My immediate reaction when I tried this particular razor was surprise at the weight. Cartridge razors typically feel much too light and flimsy, but that's certainly not the case with this one. The weight is good and the handle is balanced in a way that it does not create any sort of undesirable fatigue with prolonged use. Quality is top-notch for a cartridge razor. I still somewhat believe that the claim that this razor's exfoliating technology removes debris is a gimmick...but it doesn't really hurt anything, either. I almost can't believe that I'm saying that the performance of a cartridge razor is satisfactory, but this comes way closer than anything similar. While I won't be using this as my go-to razor or a replacement to what I have been using, it will definitely be nice to have this for occasions when it might be appropriate, such as traveling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The differences start when unpacking. The handle has a lovely balanced weight to it that gives it a premium feel. The magnetic base feels similarly premium and holds the handle well. I'm impressed so far. The shave itself was also a step up from the fusion 5. Difficult to describe, but felt smoother and more effective while shaving, and less irritation afterward. The finish was super smooth, and I had no complaints with the fusion 5, but this does still feel like an improvement. The 2D FlexDisc may well have been a factor in this as it's not present on my existing fusion handle. These blades are approximately 50% more expensive than the fusion 5, so that is indeed quite a lot as other reviewers have noted. It's worth it in my view, but I willing finish off my fusion 5 blades before switching.

I can't be sure the bar creates a better experience, but its design does create a better connection between the cartridge and handle. I don't think the cartridge will ever inadvertently pop off like some have done in the past. The weighted handle and stand really make this razor feel premium and the shave is excellent too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Of course this razor is amazing. Gillette has always been my go to razor ever since I started buying my own razors. This razor is no exceptions. I have been using Gillette razors for the last 21 plus years. Being in the military and having to shave everyday, a high quality razor is an absolute must. They have gotten better and better over the years and this is probably my favorite. I love the exfoliating bar and always have been a fan of the precision blade as well. Other razors have tried to mimic that and always fall flat. This razor provides a close shave, no irritation, and I'm able to shape up my sideburns and mustache with ease. The included base is rock solid. Looks great on the counter and gives the appearance of a high end razor which coincidentally this razor performs as such. Again, only razor that I will use and only razor that I gift. I highly recommend this razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this razor for a few weeks now. Prior to this I have used either a stainless safety razor or a One Blade if rushed. I found this razor to be well built even though it obviously didn't have the solid feel I am used to coming from a safety razor. It was easy to manipulate around the jaw line and swiveled well to avoid accidental cuts. The shave was smooth and left my skin feeling soft afterwords. The travel case was nice and keeps it nicely contained for a small carry on sized luggage bag. The magnetic base of the razor is a plus as it kept the razor from just laying on the sink getting in the way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a lot of Gillette Razors over the years, and always fond them innovative and effective. This one definitely stands out (literally) with new features. The stand is quite useful, and I like the rubberized base. The lubricating strip is also extra on this newest model. After a full face and head shave, the strip was still leaving a snail trail, and a comfortably shaven pate two days later! Having a predilection for straight blades or DE razors, I'm nervous anytime a blade is allowed to slip sideways, but I have yet to nick myself with the Gillette. My only suggestion would be to make the stand taller and more universal so it can be used with other Gillette models. The magnetic feature is nice, but my other Gillette handles don't fit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design and overall look is very classy. The stand is durable and easy to clean. I mean it when I say this is going to last a long time! The back of the razor is very open spaced which is a big win because it is so much easier to clean out after a shave. I use creams to shave and they usually gunk up razors every stroke. What goes in this comes right back out. It swivels at the cartridge to help get a more equal shave. I shave my head with a razor so I really appreciate this feature. Thats also where the release slide is though, so sometimes it does get in the way. As far as the exfoliation bar goes, I'm not really able to tell a difference. It doesn't exfoliate ingrown hairs as you shave. But I dont have to double back on the same spots with this razor. It is still a high quality razor.

This one is no exception - the exfoliating bar even works well for my bald head. Stand for the razor is pretty neat - but I don't use that.
