The blades are more expensive than other Gillette blades but its the top of the range, so its to be expected. The razor is a good design but it does not shave close enough and leaves patches. Let me explain. The top and bottom pads are raised way higher than the blades themselves which in my opinion is the reason for the bad performance.

I was a long-time fan of Mach-3 (among other brands) though after receiving a Gillette Labs as a gift there is no going back. The exfoliating bar keeps my skin silky and moist and the 5 Gillette blades w/ 2D Flexdisc perfect cut at any angle.

I had a good experience shaving with this, it's your typical razor, it shaves close and my skin felt very smooth afterwards. No razor cuts at all. Cartridge provided a great shave as well; although I'm not sure I noticed any tangible effect from the exfoliating bar. All in all, I recommend this for anyone looking for a razor that won't break the bank!

Just recently I found an old razor and decided to use it, only to realize how much I love the new thing Gillette comes out with and how bad the old model was. Into this particular razor, it is again a sign of good things that Gillette is doing. My shave was very smooth, had very less irritation on face, and needed to make just a couple of passes in an area. I didn't get any cuts or felt any irritation even afterwards. So overall a nice razor which works great.

The blades give me the closest shave. The skin feels amazingly smooth afterwards. For anybody who has ever struggled to find the perfect razor, this is for you! There truly isn't anything better.
