[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's talk about this razor. Gillette is a tried and true brand and this model is no exception. It definitely feels a bit more elevated than your basic razor with a sleek design and a stylish base that holds the razor when not in use, which is a nice touch. When it comes to performance though I found it to be just okay. It got the job done, but the shave didn't feel as smooth or effortless as what I'm used to with my Dollar Shave Club blades. I noticed I had to go over certain areas more than once to get the closeness I wanted. Maybe it's due to the blades or the fact that I have thicker hair? Overall, it's a decent option in a pinch or for travel but it wouldn't be my go-to razor for everyday use.

I was impressed right away with the solid weight and premium feel, it's definitely nicer to hold than cheaper razors. The shave itself was smooth and comfortable, and the exfoliating bar helped reduce irritation. The only downside is the cost of the replacement cartridges, which are on the expensive side. That said, if you don't mind spending a little extra, this razor delivers a really good shave.

The razor kit comes with 1 razor handle, 1 razor cartridge w/exfoliating bar and a handy base for the razor to stand on. I like that base/stand because it fits right in my bathroom cabinet, and I never misplace or lose my razors. In addition, the base is magnetic which allows the razor to stand up, keeps it clean and dry. The razor itself is a 2D flex disc that glides and contours to the grooves of your face comfortably and the closeness is impeccable. The accompanying case to carry your razor and stand in is perfect for travel and fits in my toiletry bag with ease. I will continue to buy and use the Gillette labs brand razors and would highly recommend to others.

It really moves along with my face nicely. It has an exfoliating bar feature. I like the idea of it, but not entirely sure if I'm noticing any difference because of it. Big fan of the magnetic stand that it comes with. It actually makes having a razor next to the sink look more high end.

Razors don't seem to get dull unlike other brands that I have to replace razors every other day. Had this one one for 2 weeks and still cuts like the day I got it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the concept of an exfoliating razor because I always need a lot of exfoliation after I shave (I don't do a complete clean shave that frequently). The razor works well and I believe it's the closest shave I've been able to achieve in a while. No cuts or nicks. Personally, I'm not sure how much of a difference the exfoliating bar made for me. This might be because I need a lot more than gentle exfoliation.

It flexes up and down like other razors but to a greater degree. What's unique is the left and right articulation. Loading and removing cartridges is easy but not as smooth as others. It shaves well and the blades are very sharp. I also love that it has a stand so you have somewhere to leave it. So far a great product.
