When I do, I tend to be lazy and do it after a shower without using any shaving cream or gel. That's not great for your skin. I gave this new razor from Gillette a try and I have to admit, it was fantastic. Cut great with little to no pulling, and left my face feeling smooth without any irration. The flexiable rotating head and moisturizing bar really work! My only complaint would be the handle. It was a little slippery in my hands and a little lightweight. I have been using one from an online subscription service and love the weight and rubber grip it offers. I wish this had both of those features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product, but one downside comes with all new razors: expensive blades. I almost feel like the manufacturers gave this to me to "try" because they expect me to buy more blades for it that are more expensive than the handle.

I've been using Gillette razors practically my whole life. But never invested in an expensive blade. This razor is a game changer for me. Normally after I have a beard for any length of time and shave again my face gets the crap beat out of it. Red splotchy marks everywhere and I literally need 24/36 hours for it to calm down without looking like I've got some skin disease. This pic was taken 5 minutes after shaving. I had a full months beard on my face. I'm an actor, and shaved specifically to put myself on tape tomorrow for a possible job. I shaved tonite to give my face time to “calm down”. I could have shot the video this instant if I wanted to. Game changer. Sometimes more expensive is actually better. I'll never use a cheap blade again. Thank you Gillette!

I've used all numerous products trying to find something that doesn't irritate my skin and I've struggled for years until I found this GilletteLabs razor. The blades hold up shave after shave and leave no bumps or knicks behind. The stand makes for easy storage on the vanity or in the shower and extends the life of the blades. It is a good razor and the blades are sharp and excellent for shaving and have another blades! I did not like the holder the razor was not attached to it easily and also handle came dirty! Quality and value is good not bad.
