[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I succumbed to this new razors ad and purchased one. I remember the days before supposed comfort strips were billed as the best shave ever. They never lived up to that. Today, they hawk that the best shave is with an exfoliating strip. I tried it. I am not a fan of five blades. They take off too much skin and leave me chaffed with burn spots. The exfoliating strip is a nice marketing ploy, but I don't see the value of something raking my skin just before I'm going to run a razor across it. I think there are much better products to remove dead facial skin and I recommend them instead of this razor. The razor is pretty well balanced and looks kinda funny, and the blades are fairly easy to change. I didn't find much value in this razor or a very comfortable shave. Perhaps a comfort strip that lasts more than a few days would give a better shave. Not recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't grow a lot of facial hair, but I wanted a closer shave than I've been getting from my electric razor. This does the trick and leaves my face feeling very smooth. I won't use this every day, but it's good to have on my counter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor and Travel Case for Storage for over a week now and loves the nice clean and smooth shave he gets each time he uses it, thanks to the exfoliating bar razor. And, once done, he loves being able to store it in the handy travel case, and not worrying about it sliding around in his bag and dulling the blade.

Handle is fine, Like the stand, The blades are subpar to Fusion. The blades started to pull after first shave. Could not complete the second shave. I am bald and have been shaving using fusion for years without a problem. Not Prep. Fusion blades last 2-3 weeks or 4-5 shaves. I would not be surprised if these blades are thinner with a sharper bevel angle making the susceptible to tip dulling.

I've been using Gillette razors practically my whole life. But never invested in an expensive blade. This razor is a game changer for me. Normally after I have a beard for any length of time and shave again my face gets the crap beat out of it. Red splotchy marks everywhere and I literally need 24/36 hours for it to calm down without looking like I've got some skin disease. This pic was taken 5 minutes after shaving. I had a full months beard on my face. I'm an actor, and shaved specifically to put myself on tape tomorrow for a possible job. I shaved tonite to give my face time to “calm down”. I could have shot the video this instant if I wanted to. Game changer. Sometimes more expensive is actually better. I'll never use a cheap blade again. Thank you Gillette!

The razor has a 2D flex disc technology which works great! It makes shaving around the jaw line easier! The cartridge is sharp and works extremely well! The exfoliating bar removes dirt and debris leaving my skin clean, soft, and smooth! Lastly, the stand is magnetic and works great! It keeps the razor clean, dry, and ready to use. This is an excellent quality set, definitely recommend!!

This new version with the exfoliation bar does a great job keeping the little hairs off of your face so that you can clearly see where you need to run it again or if its clean shaved.
