This device is straightforward to use, and it works well. The first thing you need to make sure of is that you have a cord to connect it to the TV with because it doesn't come with one. I used an HDMI cord, plugged it in to the TV and the device, and then plugged in the device. Once I added the batteries to the remote, it worked immediately. I had zero issues using this as a Blu-ray player. It played the disc flawlessly, and the movie looked incredible on the screen. The remote is simple to navigate and easy to use also. As far as using this as a streaming device you need to have a wired connection and your own cord. The device was immediately recognized by my network once it was plugged in and connected via the ethernet cable. The on-screen setup walks you thought hooking it up. This device makes streaming super easy if you have a wired connection and I love the stability of it being hard wired. All in all, this is a very nice Blu-Ray/DVD/Streaming device. It's very easy to use, and it works well! I would recommend it!

I own lots of dvds so watching them on this disc player brings back great memories. It has amazing sound and video quality while playing and I am so pleased at how well this disc player is designed. It's very easy to use and I would definitely recommend.

This player has a LAN and high speed HDMI cable port plus a connection for coaxial/digital out. There is a port on the front for USB as well. You will need your own cables to connect with. Setup can be done with ease. It can be done wireless with built in LAN if you so choose. The image quality is great too.

Very great graphics and colors! Dolby sound which delivers crisp sounds. The player that was in my camper only was a dvd player and this one is a blue ray! Perfect size to fit into the cabinet.

This Blu-ray player is perfect for those who want to play disks from other regions as it's region free needed a little help from tech at first but I got it here are the instructions below. But I also wanted to mention the sleek and stylish design of the player and remote is nice. Fits well in my tv console. And I'm super happy with it! Was able to borrow a few disks from the library for my son and I and we had fun. All we need now is a new Sony tv! Haha Pressing the Yellow, Blue, or Red buttons while the player is turned off does..... drum roll..... NOTHING! (except make you mad when it doesn't work). Here is how I got mine to switch regions- to ensure I got this correct I swapped back and forth between several different discs coded for different regions- back and forth. 1) Figure out which region you need as follows... Yellow for Region A: This region covers all of North America, South America, and Southeast Asia. Blue for Region B: This encompasses Europe, Africa, Middle East, French territories, and Greenland. Red for Region C: Region which covers the rest of the world including Russia, Asia, and China. 2) Turn on Blu-ray player (menu for the player and/or streaming apps comes on TV screen). 3) Eject the tray. 4) Stick Blu-ray in the tray and DO NOT close the tray (IMPORTANT- DO NOT CLOSE THE TRAY!) 5) Press the colored button for the Region required to play the Blu-ray disc- WHILE THE TRAY IS OPEN and the Blu-ray player is turned on. 6) NOW close the tray. 7) Movie will play for the newly assigned region. 8) Eject the movie when done watching. 9) After watching a movie coded for another region, you probably want to revert back to Region A (assuming you're in the U.S.). 10) Open tray and insert a Region A (U.S.) Blu-ray and LEAVE THE TRAY OPEN!!!! 11) Press the YELLOW key for Region A (U.S.)- WHILE THE TRAY IS STILL OPEN!!! 12) Close the tray. Region A (U.S.) will play. You're now set back to where most of your Blu-rays play. 13) Eject Blu-ray. 14) Turn off the Blu-ray player and TV. Anyway I highly recommend to family and friends its a great little player and I hope my review was helpful to you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed another DVD/Blu Ray player for a new TV in our house and this Sony player definitely works in that respect.  The video quality is good and there are no complaints from me in serving its purpose as a Blu Ray player.  It is also very small and sleek, which is great.  However, the accessories included in the box are pretty disappointing.  You need to supply your own HDMI cable.  We had to search around our house for an extra one to set up the player.  They are pretty cheap, so it would be nice if Sony just included it so I did not need to go looking all over for one.  Also, while this player can support Netflix and other apps, beware that it is not wireless.  You need an internet cable and that cable is also not included.  I really did not seek the player out for the purpose of streaming apps, but it is always nice to have a backup if a streaming device goes down, and the wired connection would not even work for us.  Our internet setup is nowhere near where we are using this DVD player.  Given how inexpensive some of the wireless streaming devices that I have purchased have been, I am surprised that technology is not standard for  a name like Sony.  On the plus side, there are batteries for the remote included.  Overall, good as a DVD/Blu Ray player but a little disappointing with the secondary features.
